Yeah man, I love the inserts. I took them off over the weekend when I washed/waxed/polished/etc and cleaned them up real good. They look like new, but I found a bunch of cracks from road debris, so I ordered some new ones.

Yeah, I didnt either until these arrived, the seller told me they were TYC, but I didnt believe it until I saw it for myself. AS for close up pics, you want of the lights? They look just like all the other Black housing headlights.

I went for a little drive a bit ago now that its dark, with my HID's, I dont think I lost any output, but man these things need aimed bad. Guess that will be on my list of things to do when Im on vacation in a couple weeks.

I guess close ups aren't necessary if they look the same then. I thought they might be slightly different than what is out there currently.

I suppose they could be, but I doubt it, from the pic ive seen of other ones, they look just like all the rest.

But from the way other people talked, all 3 aimers on these are adjustable vs. ones other people said you could only adjust the top 2. and the rubber gasket is quite large, they actually fit better than my stock headlight did... kinda odd I know... but they do.

give a closeup shot of the reflector..the pics on ebay made them look more of a darker gray than the white that most of us get.

and on the subject of autodynasty's..they weren't the manufacturer, just a distributor..

Maybe on the internet, but Ive never seen another car with these wheels, and I dont mean grand ams, I mean any car. On these boards a lot of people have them, but oh well. I like the look better than anything else out there. My other choice was the Moda MD2's, but they wouldn't fit...

Buy new ones, then put your current ones on ebay, you wont get full price for them, but you should get over $100 out of them.

I will do that when I aim them properly, Im going to have to put hallogens in and aim them, then put the HIDs back in and do the fine adjusting. I will take a pic of the back of them as well. As far as being darking on ebay... I think its just the lighting / camera angle, but I could be wrong. In person, they are as clear as the lense, they just have the rippled reflector effect going on.

Mirage, as far as scraping with lowering springs.. its not bad at all to be honest. I dont scrape on speed bumps or anything, just watch where your driving and go slow up hilly driveways, cause my exhaust tips scrape when I pull out of my GF's driveway :P haha

I already scrape on some speed bumps in parking lots I frequent, and sometime scrape pulling into my own driveway... ugh..

haha, what do you do? Crank over them and into your drive? I hardly ever scrape anymore, even being 1.5" lower.. IDK I say go for it. I have Springtechs, only $140 and I didnt even buy new struts and I have had 0 problems so far..

If Im lowering it, Im doing it right, and new struts are a must. I like the way it looks, but if the stock struts ever wear out I will consider lowering it, but there are enough places I frequent right now that I scrape or almost scrape as is.

No I drive nice and slow over the speed bumps, they just made them too high. They actually repainted them ~2 weeks ago and you can see all of the yellow on the top is scraped or worn off from everyone scraping them.... morons that made them. Then the driveway where Im staying... some moron designed that drive way as well... I swear everyone just guesses or half asses everything in NJ.

Thanks and Nope, not at all, and like I said before, the gasket is a little larger that stock and actually seems to fit better than the stock headlights did.

Only problem with them is I need to take the time to aim them. I adjusted them by eyeballing them with the stock lights, so they are off a bit, but not too bad. One of these evenings Im going to take the time to adjust them correctly.

Oh, and if anyone wants to know, the locking ring for the 9007 bulb is quite different shaped, but is interchangable between headlight housings.

No sir, they are the Hella angel eye ones. I was trying to get ahold of some blazertech ones or something else the same size that put out super white, or super yellow light, but I couldnt find anything I like for a reasonable price. I wasnt about to spend $150 for a set of fog lights. I need to put some yellow H3's in these though, I can see pretty good in snow and rain and fog with the stock H3's, but yellow combined with my HID's, and I should have even better visibility when its crappy out.

By "some" I meant the LIM, poor Window regulators, poor calipers, poor Wheel bearing hubs(Speed sensors) etc. I have not experienced this with any of my other cars(all Pontiacs BTW )

I just wanted to know if this was the only car he considered for that amount of money.

You will find very quickly that it doesnt matter what car it is, they all have problems... and for most of the problems with grand ams... they were sorted out by the later years.

And no, its not the only car I considered. I was going to get a Mazda 6 Grand Touring, or a Speed6. I had an appointement with a dealer to go with my dad on a saturday to drive both, and was going to order from the factory whichever one I decided I wanted. However... a week before that, my car died, and I had to hurry up and buy something.... so I didnt get the extra ~2 months to save up to get what I really wanted. Unfortunately, at the time, I had just started my job and just moved into a new place with roomates and didnt know if I would be sticking around, so I needed to make sure I could afford to live in a place of my own if I didnt like where I was, and being just outside of NYC, housing and apartments are not cheap. Average 1 bedroom apt around me is ~$1500 a month. Well, now looking back had I known everything was going to work out, and that I was going to get 3 raises in a year totalling over $10k more than when I first started... I would have gone with the Mazda 6. Actually, had I known then what I know now, I would have an 06 Goat in the driveway... but as they say **** happens and hind sight is 20/20. So now Im just saving money for either the new camaro, new challanger, or something similar when they hit the lots in a couple years. I will have this car which will still be reliable, have lots of life left, and will be able to keep a real car nicer for longer.

I also looked at the grand prix's and and G6's on the lot, and I really didn't and dont like either. Having driven both for a couple weeks for work as well helped me decide those cars werent for me. Basically I went with what I could get a good deal on, get something with a decent sized motor (even if its underpowered, its not a 4 banger), and something that looks good and stands out from most other cars on the road. I get complients all the time on what great shape the car is in... and Im sure its because people think it is much older than it really is.

$17k is nothing when buying a car, there is nothing else out there I could have gotten fully loaded and with a V6 engine and that looks great for that price. After tax title license and everything, I walked out ~18k.
