And no, its not the only car I considered. I was going to get a Mazda 6 Grand Touring, or a Speed6. I had an appointement with a dealer to go with my dad on a saturday to drive both, and was going to order from the factory whichever one I decided I wanted. However... a week before that, my car died, and I had to hurry up and buy something.... so I didnt get the extra ~2 months to save up to get what I really wanted. Unfortunately, at the time, I had just started my job and just moved into a new place with roomates and didnt know if I would be sticking around, so I needed to make sure I could afford to live in a place of my own if I didnt like where I was, and being just outside of NYC, housing and apartments are not cheap. Average 1 bedroom apt around me is ~$1500 a month. Well, now looking back had I known everything was going to work out, and that I was going to get 3 raises in a year totalling over $10k more than when I first started... I would have gone with the Mazda 6. Actually, had I known then what I know now, I would have an 06 Goat in the driveway... but as they say **** happens and hind sight is 20/20. So now Im just saving money for either the new camaro, new challanger, or something similar when they hit the lots in a couple years. I will have this car which will still be reliable, have lots of life left, and will be able to keep a real car nicer for longer.

I also looked at the grand prix's and and G6's on the lot, and I really didn't and dont like either. Having driven both for a couple weeks for work as well helped me decide those cars werent for me. Basically I went with what I could get a good deal on, get something with a decent sized motor (even if its underpowered, its not a 4 banger), and something that looks good and stands out from most other cars on the road. I get complients all the time on what great shape the car is in... and Im sure its because people think it is much older than it really is.

$17k is nothing when buying a car, there is nothing else out there I could have gotten fully loaded and with a V6 engine and that looks great for that price. After tax title license and everything, I walked out ~18k.
Thats cool

I guess its alittle diffrent in the states, since after tax I also walked out paying 18, actually 18.990 for the Grand Prix, mind you its not fully loaded

Hey the car looks great! BTW

Eh, I dont know about being different in the states or not, but for the options that I got, I couldnt beat the price, especially when the window sticker was between $25k and $26k. When I first bought it, it actually stated out being worth more than I paid for it... and again, Had I known then what I know now, I could have used that to my advantage towards something else... but no sense in worrying about it.

But thanks man, Im happy with how it has turned out, well, Ill be really happy when I get my new rear bumper cover in a couple weeks!!!

Ellis in Emlenton PA. The window sticker is the MSRP... but remember, I got the SC/T package, so they added a rediculous amount of money on for that.

Ah hah. They tried to charge me $800 for a pinstripe and door guard I didn't even want.

Everything was factory options, so they didnt add anything else on, it was GM pricing.... but they do like to charge more for a different spoiler and different hood.

Well either driveways by you are more like curbs or you just dont know how to go up an incline correctly. I rarely scrape now with the sc/t lip in my driveway that is fairly steep compared to others (wouldnt dare try a different driveway) but you shouldnt be scraping man. I want to lower my car but I think it would scrape everytime. You should be safe with just a drop or just an sc/t lip in my opinion. Its the sc/t lip + drop combo that im worried about.

Read my post where I complain about the morons and their ability to construct things... yes, its more like a curb. If I back up my driveway its fine, just pulling forward into it I tend to scrape. When I go home to my parents, they live on a backroad, a dirt road... and as many people here know, dirt roads in PA suck. Regardless, I like the way it looks now, if it sat any lower, the tires would start tucking in the wheel wheels and that looks mighty ghey IMO.

I want to get the SC/T kit one of these days, but I know when I do, I will end up pulling to close to a curb when I park sometime and CRACK.... haha, oh well.
