You probably could get away with not even having your license on you (not that I'd recommend it) since I've never seen them ask anyone.

Wish I would have seen this earlier. I could have given you the guys the opinion of Byron seeing as I know Ron well enough to ask for him to take care of events I direct his way.

I'm confused

Are you guys staying (hotel) in 'Chicago' or Antioch, IL ?

& is it realistic to expect 1-hour drive from Glenview (north of Chicago), IL to Antioch, IL ?
55 km / 34 miles away according to my GPS.

I might make an appearance on Saturday & Sunday.
(Still am hoping for some tickets & backstage passes to Freestyle Frenzy with Stevie B on Friday night, July 20th. Hoping my buddy's sister's friend pulls through for us, like they did last year for them.)
I will be in-town (Glenview area) during that weekend period.

Well considering that they have "Junior Racers" doing the 1/8 in those dragster styled things I don't think its an issue.

1 hr? Ehh probably less assuming traffic isn't bumper to bumper. Takes me a little over an hour to get there from nearby O'Hare.

imo it would be best for people to get a hotel/motel room in Antioch since it is rather close to everything that will be happening (D&S/Lake/GLD/My house).. if we choose to go to the city we can just take the train.

We hope to see you there Mike....

If we go to the city Navy Pier would be a good option.

Another thought just occurred to me.

We could bring some tunes and play our favorites on a radio or someone's car (the one with the best sound system of course). Also maybe some friendly contests like best interior or cleanest ride. Heck we could even do a Best R/T at the track contest. I dunno about rewards for the contests but suggestions are welcome.

'Beer Trade'

So people from areas not of Chicago, bring in stuff that is not available locally in the Chicago market.

Or anything else, people want that they do not have in the Chicago area.

PS: & I mean the good stuff.
Not crap

This coming from a guy that doesn't drink anymore

I'll trade you a piggy keg of Nit Wit Wheat from the Mishawaka Microbrewery (6.2% alc) for a case of Sleeman's Cream Ale?

I do like this idea tho..

Mmm bison burgers...

Edit-

I think at this point a general idea of who's coming is needed for further planning. To make things easy I say everyone who's coming (or plans to at this point) count off.

Here's 1

Who's gonna be 2?

How about 1 free scan for ALL who run at the track (of course I would have to be in the car riding shotgun with the laptop and I would need access to a cigar lighter to power my power invertor otherwise it shouldnt be a problem...

as for the winners of the contests I could offer 10% off intakes and PCMs and maybe some free (small) decals

OFFICIAL DETAILS POST

Note: This post is subject to change.

When: July 20th-22nd

Where: Chicago and the Burbs

Hotel: No Official Hotel has been decided upon as of yet, if someone finds one they wish us to use, Mark or I would be more than happy to reserve a block of rooms. It would help if those that plan to attend would respond to the list posted in this thread so we can get a better idea of the attendance.

Schedule:

Friday-
10am: Meet up with most everyone
12pm-445pm: Mod/Detail/shoot the sh!t
445pm: Drive to Track
After Track--TBA

Saturday-
12pm: meet with those who werent able to make it until saturday as well as those in town already..
1pm-5pm: Mod/detail/shoot the sh!t
5pm+: Hang by the lake and eat Pizza from A-town Pizza Place

Sunday-
TBA (post up ideas.=)

The Dog and Suds Cruise in night is currently looking like it will be best on Saturday night since those that have work after this event may not be able to make it on Sunday night. More eating will be done at this event...

As per many meets, there will be drinking being done. Those hosting the meet do not in any way condone illegal and underage drinking. Break the rules at your own risk and pay the consequences on your own if you do, the same goes for anyone 21 or older that knowingly supplies any minors with alcoholic beverages.

This schedule is tentative to many changes, the times are also not firm as of yet.

List of People Attending as of 6/23/07:
1. Jon (lone_wolf025)
2. AJ (ajaxus)
3. Mark (lvemy3100)
4.
