The kit doesnt look good on the car, thats why everyone is hating on it. In order for any kit to look good on any car, imo, it needs to follow the existing body lines and general styling ofthe car.

K well Idk I just think its rude when someone posts something then everyone replys saying they hate it or its ugly, I just think its way rude. At least he took the time and effort to do something like this and I think it looks pretty good.

Then dont post. SIMPLE.

What matters is that He likes it. I for one dont like the kits. I have seen it in person and it looks like the car is smiling at you with missing teeth. The rear bumper looks like some kicked it in.

As far as the paint goes, its ok. Diffrent for sure. What it lacks is detail work. What I mean by that is someone needs to get in there with an airbrush and do some shawdows and some other detail stuff.

I'm kinda digging the paint job. It looks pretty cool. The kit is another story due to the large grills and stuff, but then again, it's not my car. If ya think it looks cool to you then it's alright. Go with some bigger shoes though. But, you took initiative to try and do something different and ya get a point in my book.

Definetly! I really like the tears on the mirrors, love the paint. Goin at it with the airbrush would be pretty nice. I think you might be able to pull off white rims on the car. Or at least white to match the front half of the car, IMO would look good. Go ahead ppl, flame me.

Ok, well there are shadows between the tiffani blue and white pearl. it wasnt out in the sun, so its hard to see. and we only had 2 days to paint it. as for the body kit, the only one ive seen around here alot is the polyurethane and the sct kit. ive seen another showoff 3, and not much else.

basically i wanted to make it different, which is wat i did. its a one of a kind. the paint looks better in person, gurateed because it has much flake and sparkle.

and for the side of the doors, i deliberated alot on those, and decided to fill in the hole and leave it. that would be much sheet metal work and bondo work, and basically the quarter on any grand am is weak and flexible and eventually would have cracked.

bigger rims i would have gotten, but i like more rubber. 16's is all i need.

IM ONLY 17!!! gimme a break at least, i aint got much monsy, just doin all the work myslef.

this car has a sound system in it tho. 2 12" type r's and 2000 watt power acoustic amp. and i used a magnaflow camaro muffler w/ some tips to replicate a nissan 350z exhaust.

i am very dissapointed in the (-) comments. for a 17 year old doing all the work myself i think my work is fantastic.

hmm, lets ee... wat else. oh ya, the rear bumper has about 1 1'2 inch to 2 clearance, and i cant drop it or else i will roaylly mess up the bumper. here are some pics in the paint booth if the color looks better

yes, it was apinted in a 3 car garage, and now you can see the shadowing.

this is wat i ask of people who own grand ams

MAKE THEM DIFFERENT...NOT ALL THE SAME. this is a unique style, i get 20 people a day in minnesota give props to my car, none are negative.

the polyurethane kit was not work my time... i love fiberglass work.

so as for this 17 year old, everyone try somethin different. not aftermarket! and post it up.

once i get more money, headlights, tailights, under body lights, and possibly biger rims will be added.

not bad, the paint job kinda makes it look like its beat up in the front but thats what you were going for making it look like the other paint is like trying to escape or come out, props on the work, not a fan of grand ams with body kits but if i had an SE i would do the same, nice job, get some 18's and tint and maybe set of the black crystal headlights and should look even better

so just to try something new you have to put something on your car you may not like? and how "new" and innovative is a mass produced kit? i think everyone here appreciates the work, just not everybody likes it.
