you pretty much got the list sc/t or rk sport. all other kits for our cars are too reminiscent of ricers. there's far too much going on in them and our cars were designed for more simple flare than complex flare. it's like trying to serve up a hotdog with every single topping out there..it's gonna taste like crap and look like crap because somebody went overboard thinking it was "cool"
stay simple with this car, have a little fun here and there but don't go overboard, the results will be far more astounding than those that we see here. |

thats what iv kinda figured out as well. simple is sometimes better. like civics honeslty look good with certain more complex body kits or other cars as well. GAs arent meant to be a complex vehicle, more of a simple but agressive look. true?

like even the people with the FULL sc/t or RK sport kids on their cars, its still very simple and sleek. not gaudy and intricate

you're getting it now..you don't have to go over the top to look good. simple also rarely looks bad, where as over the top tends to have a higher rate of looking bad.

maybe those kits are trying to compensate for the lack of actual performance these things have? it still gets me how the grand am was on of GM's best selling cars for so long, yet the aftermarket part list is so small compared to the glut of parts for r!cer civics

yea it sucks theres not more of an after market for our cars..i think it is because they are produced to be a family car ...not that a civic is some kind of sports car

its the family, fleet, economy car for pontiac..they thought about launching it into the performance market when the sc/t concept was invented..i guess they decided that there wasn't enough interest so they scrapped most of it except for a few appearance pieces.

Got Airway?

Plus I think "Fast and the Furious" hyped up the civic and other imports, so I believe that made an even BIGGER market for after market parts for them even though there was already a large one to begin with.
Anyone else think that if the GA was on the same movie there would be a larger demand for parts?

im a huge fan of the fast and the furious but like you have to soup up a car in a way that fits it. you shouldn't put a HUGE wing on an american car it just doesnt fit, now on a skyline or EVO that would look cool. just like you wouldnt put "american muscle" looking wheels on a civic; just wouldnt look right.

But Paul, why would someone put a wing on a FWD car? A tasteful wing on an American car that is RWD is cool, because it actually serves a purpose.

as far as this car goes I personally would like to give props for the DIY but I also have to agree with the majority that have posted about the body kit not working with the car...on a side note- why would someone make a thread asking for opinions if all they wanted in response was people patting them on the back.. I see quite a bit of this on all sorts of forums and it always ends the same...
