My New but Used Grand Am GT

Just bought it this past saturday for my first car. It was a good buy too, 50k miles for $7500 and its a 2000. The intake andthe ram air hood came with the car so thats two less things I'll have to buy, sounds so good with the intake tho.

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal. Cant really tell what kind of shape the body or interior are in from the pics, but for the miles I dont think you could beat that price.

Very nice buy. But I have a couple questions.

1. How old was the person you bought it from?

2. Did you research the problems that GA's have before you bought it, and has the LIM (lower intake manifold) gasket already been replaced or is it leaking?

3. Is it just me or is the paint on the side mirrors dull?

4. Are you going to throw some black/clear headlights and some black TYC's on there and make it look sick as hell?

Looks good. Some grill inserts would be a nice start.

i second this. WAI's arent good and hurt power in a way. MP Racing is always a good choice

WAIs just make it sound cool. it may feel like your getting more power, but your numbers wont show it, this is what we call a butt dyno!

i have one just because it was a cheap solution till i get the $ for the MP Racing CAI

there really isnt...mine is really growly around 3500....but a fender CAI will give you some power increases and it will help with fuel economy too

Wish someone would buy mine...more mods, less miles Maybe I'll start advertising it some day.

Forget changing out the intake. Pointless until you get some other supporting mods. Its still pleasing to the ears.

exhaust, new cam, pulleys, and a chip upgrade would add noticeable gains.....but also drain your wallet quick

Yea there are bugs on the front of the car, I washed it sunday and waxed it then on monday night I was out driving around with my friends so thats were all the bugs came from. I do want ot get headlight covers and either was thinking about getting black taillights or just keep the stock ones.
