I'm acctually highly considering the HHR SS as my next car. Impressive fuel Economy, power, and seating room...what more could you ask for? Mainly its because I love my cavie except for its sardine-can interior, and I want something with more space thats still fun to drive, without the fuel economy of an Impala, or Charger

looks nice. Our secretary has a loaded LT model and I like that. This should be even better.

Its good to see the SS is officially ago from the brochure, but I'd like to know how come there isn't even a mention of it on Chevrolet.com! seems weird, you'd think since that brochure is saying "late fall 2007" that there would definitely be some info up, at least under "upcoming chevrolet vehicles" or something on the site!

Props to Chevy for making a SS version of almost all their cars... Pontiac should push more of the GTP/GXP thing.

my guess is that its not a real big deal for them. they are focussed on the camaro and corvette models right now. this is one of the problems with GM...they choose their favorite children (models) and only give those attention.

I thought GM announced awhile ago they were going to shy away from using SS badging on everything because they were taking the exclusivity out of it by making every model have an SS. Takes away from the image they created when you see a malibu maxx SS.... but oh well. Im not a fan of the HHR, but I must say that does look pretty decent.

Do some searching. There is the g6 gxp, the solstice gxp, the (comming soon) g8 gxp, the Torrent GXP, what else do you want?

No no, they said they will no longer use the "SS" badge on anything but the "performance models" i.e, only the 2.0L SS Cobalt SS not the pidly 2.4L Cobalt SS. I think the 260 HP 2.0L Turbocharged engine deserves the SS badge dont you?

On a sidenote, that looks kick ass! I was wondering how long it would take GM to come out with a model like this with 4 doors. Goodbye PT cruiser GT!

I've loved that Car since the day they released it. Don't know what it is about it, but its always caught my eye. To bad the SS won't be out soon enought this year for me.

They did. Soooo......... If this is going to be a true SS, it needs to haul some serious ass.

Before they decided this, they were actually gonna have an Equinox SS, then decided to call it the "Sport" instead. So, "Sport" for faster than normal, and "SS" for kicks your ass fast. Sounds good to me.

I think a car that weighs just a tad over 3000 pounds with a 260hp motor deserves the SS badge. Basically what GM was admitting was that cars such as the "regular" colbalt SS (non supercharged 2.4) and the 3600 pound 245hp Malibu SS was where they were getting carried away with and I couldn't agree more!

However the Colbalt, Impala, HHR, and Trailblazer can all back up there SS badge so I for one don't have a problem with it. Really looking forward to checking out the HHR SS!

I've always liked the HHR's unique styling but this ultimately ruins it for me.

Power, good. Looks, bad.

It looks like the front end of a Locomotive!

And I love how all the HHR-forum guys are popping boners and getting ideas of buying all the SS parts and adding it on. So lame..

i drove an HHR LT out to WI when i picked up my G6.. awesome ride.. I had 2 heavy bags, 4 rims/tires ice chest, and a crap load of other stuff and we made it all the way to South Bend IN with alittle more then 1/4 tank of gas left.

great mpg, nice size, and tons of cargo room .. and I like that SS
