H.O. Driver got his GA's hair did! (pic intensive!!!)

I was finaly able to do a full paint correction on my good buddy’s 1999 GAGT. Me and Tim had talked about it in the past but since he lives 3+ hours away it took us almost a year to finaly setup a weekend to do it. It needed it badly, definitely beyond saving but well worth trying, we think it came out great considering what we started with.

Wash with foam gun and megs goldclass
Clay with an old mothers claybar I had, didn’t wanna waiste a new one on this, it was THAT bad. VHT and rubber all the way down the sides from the track and all the other surfaces where loaded with some seriously bad contaminants.
Rotary with edge2K 6” pads, optimum compound at 1500-2400 rpm
Porter Cable with Danase 5” CCS polishing pads and LC 4” polishing spot pads, megs #80 speed 6 the whole way.
Megs #26 high tech yellow wax

This is ONLY the very top of the bumper!!!

up till now i always thought i had the most intense before/after pics on a grand am...but this just blew me out of the water. Very nice turn around.

Rand, I can not quit thanking you, you have done way too much for me, well it wasn't really for me it was for the car. Thanks for letting me stay at your house and for the car. I told you I could help and was willing to learn and you just stepped up and did it all. Even when I was sleeping this guy was up hammering out the car. Thanks for everything, I really appreciate it!!!!!

I picked that up last August, its Tim Ball's old kit, that Tom had, and I am the 4th owner of it now. The rims used to be Tom's too before he sold them to Kyle. My car has as many whored around peices as something Seth used to own.

Tim i had a blast!!
If you have any problems just let me know and we can set up a weekend to take care of it. I am hoping we can get together again and work on individual areas that need more work. Some areas need to be wetsanded and buffed out. Since the whole car has already been done focusing on little areas will be quick and easy. I can come up there or you can come back down for another weekend.

Up next........the GTP!

Actually im very dissapointed in the pics. They all looked great when you viewed them on the digi but when i uploaded them they just down right sucked. I picked the best ones i had. Ive got 100+ more, i was planing on this thread being a 40+ pic thread.

We also went to a car show sunday night before Tim left, easily 500+ cars showed, none of those pics came out good either, im quit upset about it.
