so i just found out that im getting one of these as my company car.

263 hp, 240 tq, not too bad. its better than getting a minivan which is what i have now.

they also got rid of the CVT, its a now a 6 speed auto.

Yea they arent bad but is up with the name. The inside looks pretty well designed from the pics ive seen.

I think they could've come up with a more creative name, but I guess the "Taurus" name will help it sell.

The FIVEHUNDRED should have been a Taurus from the begining. It would have been a natural and logical thing to do. Or if Ford felt that the car was too big or expensive for the Taurus name, then the Fushion should have been called Taurus. There is too much brand equity/name recognition in that nameplate for Ford to walk away from it. They were morons and now are trying to correct a wrong.

they should have brought back the fairlane or the galaxy. those were from the heydays of ford and people would buy it...of course theyd have to have style, which they dont now, but at least they will have decent power.

All fords now looks the same. Only good one to me is the Mustang.

I saw one at the dealer today. Man ford put chome and portholes and those fancy aftermarket looking lights. Still a plain body. I would consider it if they made 2 door, especailly with the twin turbo 3.5 liter V6 FORD is supposedly coming to market wth in 2009. It is rumored to be 400HP/400TORQUE. THat would be sweet. SHO anyone.
