They better total your car for that. My car was totalled for $2200 of work to get it to condition.

why does your insurance company even matter if your not at fault? IT should be her insurance company that decides whether its totaled or not. You should get some good money out of it either way. No way in hell was my 2000 GAGT worth the $8,000 geico gave me for it! Anyway IMO you should know whether its totaled or not. My wreck happened at 6:45a.m. and by 8p.m. that night they called me and told me my car was totaled. Redicolous how some companies work. But I do feel your pain. In my situation I wasn't at fault at all... I was pulling out of an apartment complex and I looked both ways and it was clear, but then some stupid lady decided to fly down Madison ave. going 75 in a 40 and there was nothing I could do other than slam on the breaks and pray. And unlike you I was told I was at fault because I failed to yield the right away to oncoming traffic and no witnesses were present to prove she was speeding...

Anyway my car was completly repairable...the front end was banged up but I drove it and parked it immediatly after the wreck, but even inspite of that they still totaled the car. IF they will total a car for a little body work, then they will definitly total your with all the frame damage involved.

are you saying, it doesnt matter what kind of Insurance i have?

i believe in michigan you have a " No fault " crap?

pretty much means,
each person goes there own Way, Unless they are at fault then they will PAY your Deductible.

i believe thats how it works

i dont know the laws in michigan about Accidents are confussing.

Yeah I'm just saying you weren't at fault, so your insurance company should have nothing to do with the wreck. It should all fall on her and her insurance company to make sure you are taken care of properly.

Keep on them too. Insurance companies tend to take care of their own customers but when they gotta take care of the other person, they like to take their sweet @$$ time

Do you owe anything on the car? You gotta be careful with that too. They like to try and give you less than what you owe on the car. happened to my bro with his Sunfire (my former sunfire). My dad refused to take it, and told them to fix it. he stood his ground untill they fixed a car that was in worse shape after its wreck than my car was!
