I think they are trying to make it look like RX-8.

2008 Mazda6: Official Images Leaked Into The Web!

Holly drip-drop! A complete gallery of official images featuring the all-new Mazda6 have been poured into the web, revealing every single visual detail you ever wished to see prior to the car’s Frankfurt Show debut. There’s no press release to go with the gallery, so we’ll skip any speculations on the department mechanics –albeit, Mazda did announce earlier today that the new 6 will be slightly lighter, using less fuel and producing less CO2 than its predecessor
The pictures reveal all variants of the new Mazda6, which will be offered in 4door (sedan), 5door (liftback) and Station Wagon versions. Overall, we’re quite content with the Mazda6’s exterior appearance, albeit it is less sporty than we were expecting. Definitely better looking than the new 2008 Honda Accord (US version). However, we’re still not so sure if we prefer its design over Ford’s sister model, the Mondeo. Inside, changes are apparently dramatic. Take out the RX7 styled gauges and the different steering wheel, and basically you could be looking at its predecessors dashboard

Oooooo....Daddy likey!

Word on the street is that it will be a 2009 model. No Mazdaspeed6 for 2008 or 2009, but it should return for 2010. The v6 engine in the next gen Mazda6 will either be a 3.5L (replacing the current 3.0L), or it will be the 3.7L that the new Mazda CX-9 gets for 2008.

The all new Mazda3 will debut in about a year from now.

Looks pretty damn good.

Much better than the photoshopped version at the beginning of this thread.

Way better than the new Accord....and much better than the Camry. Its up there in style with the new G8.

Im still 50/50 on the New 6. I still don't like the tail lights. I will wait to see it in person before i say ya or nay.

As anyone seen Spy shots for the All New 3?

The spy shot in the very first post, that car was in the movie Casino Royale. It has Ford badging and he drives it up to the valle when he arrives in Montenegro.

and coincidentally, after he gets out of the car he pauses for a second looking at the hotel and 2 hot tennis chics walk by and give him a glance and he smiles back.....the brown haired girl is Alessandra Ambrosio (The current top spot Victoria Secret model)

smartass... the rear 1/3rd of the car just doesn't seem very aesthetic to me, especially from a side-profile.

Nope, the car in Casino Royale was Ford Mondeo- which shares a platform with the new 6. The Mondeo preceeded the 6 launch by 6 months.

Waaay better than the first pictures, but i still like the current generation better. The nice thing about those is they could pull off the 5 door while still looking like a sedan. It looks like the new ones look a bit odd as 5 door, so you'd have to go sedan. I reserve judgement until i see it with a nice spoiler, since that makes the look of the current 6.

Totally not enought 2 doors on the market. And the ones that are are usually the most expensive car in the model line.
