If so much as a dam gentle sumer breeze will pass through a gas refinery plant, gas will soar to something like $4!

Gas around here is the cheapest that it's been since May. It's between 97.7 and 98 cents a liter. For all of you Americans, thats $3.72 a US gallon.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Canada is one of the largest sources of Oil? makes no F*CKING sence!

Gas skyrockted to $3.50+ during race week (indy 500), but after it was over it dropped quickly. Since then its been hovering between $2.50 and $2.90. That was the only time its been over $3 all year. Thank god they were wrong on the $4.00/gallon BS

Your math is a little off...

Example:
Based on Toronto's local price today...
$0.974 Cdn/L
1 US Gallon = about 3.785 L

1 US Gallon x $0.974 = $3.687 Cdn per US Gallon

Converted to US $ (based on what a US tourist would get about, using their credit card here) = about $3.501 US per US Gallon.

You're lucky !!!

Here the taxes in Ontario are:
($0.10+0.147 Cdn/L) + 6% on the total cost
For today it was $0.302 Cdn/L
Which is about $1.087 US per US Gallon in taxes !

The other day i did acctually fill up at BP instead however. Its right across the street from speedway, and for some reason Gas was $2.69 at speedway, and $2.53 at BP

That may be ok for someones daily driver but not for performance cars. The reason places like speedway and clark have such cheap gasoline is because they use lower quality gasoline and add more ethanol to it to increase the octane rating to meet the minimum requirements. Not good for a performance tuned engine.

The whole price thing would be totally shattered if:

NO PERSONAL USE VEHICLES BOUGHT GAS FOR 1 WEEK AND WE ALL DIDNT RUSH TO BUY IT AFTER A WEEK.

It will never happen...we, as a nation are hopelessly addicted to gas.
