CUSTOMGAGT2000SEDAN Still kinda new, but learning
AUSSIE versus G8

i like aussie rear spoiler , probably because it looks like my *** rear spoiler. front end wise G8 looks less kit like and tuffer. and no mistaking those pontiac center grills. aussie grills look to close to honda's etc.

i hoped to see that GXP g6, now i hope they do a coupe /2-door G8 or put that power plant etc in a GXP g6 body. what's happing with that GXP G6

I've decided this will probably be my next car in '08 when the GTO is done. Whether it be the GT or GXP depends on how different the GXP model is from the GT, and the price difference.

Right now, the GXP is sounding to be the LS3 @ 425hp, and around $40k+. If that's all it is, then I'll be getting the GT with the L76. A couple mods and you'll be at the 425 mark much cheaper.

I don't know....... there's something about it that I just am not excited about. I've been a pontiac guy for years, but I think they could have done better.

you people would like a shiny chrome terd if GM brought it out new with more than 300hp.

Glad I bought the GTO, I think the car looks cheap and blah. Interior is nice, but the exterior looks cheapened since previous pics. Chrome trimmed grill looks like ass, and the wheels are hideous.

I'm thinking I want a GMC Topkick 4500, with the "Ironhide" package. (It's the black truck in the background)

If I were to guess, I would say the chrome trim will be accessories, like they offer on the G6 and stuff now. And like every other model, Im sure they will have 2-3 different wheel styles, but we all knew the concept ones were too good to be true, they always change the wheels for the worse......

I'm not feeling the wheels either. The black center makes it look like they're missing centercaps or something.

Eh.... looks exactly how I expected it, perhaps its the base model, doubt it though.

it says "GT" on the back and "V8" under the hood. That's the "big boy" model until the GTP comes out.

I'm sure there are different wheels, but even a diameter bigger with a standard 5-spoke doesn't help the fact the front and rear end looks cheap.

I have a feeling that should Pontiac price this car more than $30-31k, they'll be eating it. It's not going to pull in the crowd saying "what other RWD coupe with this much power are you going to buy for $32k?" like they did with the GTO. 1) Because it is a 4-door. 2) Because the Camaro will be out very soon.

Right now, if I plan on spending over $30k on a GM 4-door, it's going to be the revamped Cadillac CTS with the small V8 option....not a Pontiac.

the pics of the concept and the one on gmblog look almost identical (chrome and all) except for the rear diffuser. so i duno what the big deal is. i like the new style exhaust tips better though. look like the ones on the upcoming lexus.

Exactly. I dont hardly see anything different except for the rims and the color. Its just a case of horrible pictures.

Only thing I dont like is the wheels. Seems like everything GM has is getting that split spoke design.

For 2008 there are only 2 V6 options on the CTS. For '09 there will be a new Supercharged CTS-V- there is no small V8 option. The CTS is going to move up in price a bit so there is room for a $30-34,000 RWD car at GM.

I really like the G8 and I think it will sell well if the base model is 27K and a loaded GT tops out at 34K. I like the new Pontiac dart- I guess they are going to keep it.
