I really like the G8 and I think it will sell well if the base model is 27K and a loaded GT tops out at 34K. I like the new Pontiac dart- I guess they are going to keep it.
I meant the 304hp model. I thought the 3.6L was a small block V8 but it is a V6.

Anyway, for $37-38k I'll buy the 300hp Caddy, not a Pontiac at $34k for 55 more HP

where did I say I have a hate for them? Whoever pays mid to high $40ks for a Pontiac is focking retarded, it's that simple. And it's exactly why the Bonneville went to sh1t. They made it their luxo car and it was at $40k...uhhh, yeah, I'm going to buy a Bonneville over a Caddy, BMW, or Benzo...not.

Time to get with the program newb.

I still like it, and plan on test driving one. I'll reserve judgment until I see it in the show room with all options available......

Yup.

The reason the bonnie went to chit was because the last version of the car was chit. Simple as that. Great job judging the vehicle before you can even get your hands on it.

My wife's parents have had 5 of the last 7 model years, and I use to work at a Pontiac dealer. If you had been here for any length of time you would know this about me. I can guarantee I know a lot more about the Bonneville than you or most on here.

Now is the time in the past where someone (you) would continue to try and prove me wrong, and I would tear you a new one. However, those days are over for me. So how about you simply can it, and accept your feeble attempt at being smart didn't work, and we move along here.

Im not trying to be smart or anything. I was just simply wondering why you are so apt at putting down anything or anyone sooooo fast. It just makes me laugh a lil on the inside.

On the same note, has anybody seen any better pics from the cruise?

For fock sake, I said I didn't like the car. I can't have an opinion?

I already turned your question around on you guys in this thread. "I was just simply wondering why everything or everyone is always so eager to slurp the cack of any new GM car with more than 250hp sooooo fast."

Pay attention from now on here. Any new GM vehicle that comes out, 90% of the people will love it here. They're blinded and God forbid they say they don't like it.

Sorry. I was just trying to understand your hate of GM.

I only really like the new Pontiac and some of the Saturn models. Everything else GM is making is damn fugly. I cant stand the new Camaro in pics so far but Im waiting to see it in person. All of the Chevy cars with the split grill design look horrible. If you would line them up you wouldnt be able to tell which is which.

The reason Im liking the G8 so much is because its simply not GM. Yea its a company owned by them but its really not. Just look at the Aura. GM but not GM and look at how well its doing and the awards its getting. Plus all the press in Australia about the Commodore is whats making it that much easier to understand the potential that it has.

Actaully the Saturn Aura isn't doing so great. Mainly due to lack of Saturn Dealership's. Some area's of the country the car is doing very well, other's not so well. Also lack of marketing.

I know here in middle Tennessee is doing damn well. I saw some sale numbers of the car a few months ago and it was outselling everything GM had except for the cobalt and truck line.

Sounds about right, there having the most problem's out West and East Coast. Some area's in the south aren't doing great either. I do think once the 08 Malibu is released sale's on the Aura will drop.

I just think that people are having a hard time buying a Saturn that isnt a piece of plastic. Its the image that Saturn had for the LONGEST time and GM really isnt doing anything to change it.

Will you please shut the fock up? One thing I hate is people who talk and have no idea WTF they are saying.

Once again, if you had a clue, you'd know my father has been a plant manager for over 30 years for GM. I've personally owned more GM cars than you've probably had girlfriends.

Congrats, you are now on my list as one of the most annoying people here. Which actually isnt' that big. Say hello to GTLUVA

Dude you need to stop........Bob may be opinionated but he doesn't say things just to say them, and no he does NOT hate GM (i mean look at the cars he own right now). So, yes that was jumping to a conclusion on your part. Bob doesn't need me to defend him, but I have been around a while and I know his knowledge and thought out comments.

Anyways, I can't wait for the G8 to come out, it appeals to me in a way other Pontiacs HAVE NOT for awhile now.

Perhaps he knows a little bit about a lot of things, but he isnt a god of all knowledge. He can express his opinions without cursing and swearing at everyone in the process, but he obviously chooses to show people how immature he is instead.

I agree with you on the G8. My girlfriend and I are considering one for her next car. She really likes the 350z though, so I think its going to come down to the comfort and ride the G8 can give compared to the Z. She isnt a fan of a nice throaty V8 either, which is a shame, but what can you do.... I think a big deciding factor will be how well her currect car holds up between now and the spring. If she needs to get rid of it, she will need something more practical than a 2 seater.

Yes sir, fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it. I bought it brand new in march '06, after a bunch of discounts and rebates I actually got it cheaper than a used '04 sitting on the lot.
