elementdrummer Still kinda new, but learning
Ok, to fill in your nice little mad house talk. guess what buddy, im 17 and did the entire car in my driveway! haha. yup, took 2 months to refine my skills, and the seamless, will never crack genius. its called panel bonding, im sure uve never heard of it, its a black glue!. and the doorjams, well me and my uncle painted the car in a garage and i didnt feel like taping it off.

the doors, ya it kinda flows, but i didnt have time or necessary tools and skills to pull that off in 2 months, doorjams will be painted black and interior paint, got bored oneday wanted to see if it would work

CCR stands for creative custom rides btw, and rims i needed them way back, so i bought some cheap ones. but everything on this car i did in 2 months or so in my driveway all by myself! for 17 thats good! And nothing rattles.

sorry, got a little irritated, had to put in my 2 cents thought to clear things up

oh ya, floormats...wal mart, it was winter needed something haha

and the plexiglass sheat thing i did, i am working on a custom engraved and painted one right now for show, and the lettering is backwards, cuz i was stupid and didnt think of that too... well i still appreciate the positive comments on the paintjob. that means alot since me and my uncle spent alot of time on it.

Okay, pal (he called me buddy, Dane cook reference for anyone who gets it), I know youre 17 and i know you did it yourself. If you think 2 months of work
is 'refined skill' you obviously know nothing about body work. I too have done body work. Ive worked with guys who have 30 years of experience. Wait,
whats this 'panel bonding' you speak of. 'Black glue'??? I can't keep up with all of your technical mumbo jumbo. Here i am thinking plastic and metal have
different thermal expansion rates. Reading your threads, they have been mostly positive. The worst people have said is "its not my thing, but i respect the
work." As said, suck it up. And oh yeah, I'm sooo jealous of your car.

well duh, kids love that kind of WHOA LOOK AT ME mods (paint, body kit, weird color interior) instead of tasteful mods (nice rims, lowered, headlights, etc)

onesexyga, you gotta slow down a little...you basically came into this thread just to flame him.

I said it before, I'm not a fan of the body kit, but that blue looks sick in those pictures, I like the color a lot! With a few more things, I think it will look pretty good. I just think you need a new front bumper, thats what kills it for me. Oh, bigger rims like everybody else said

I like the blue also. What is the exact name of that color? It looks like a good color to paint the whole car. Not a fan of the white, but it does look good.

Yeah, im backing off now. I actually didnt come to this thread just to flame. My first post was honest. When i was 15 or 16 i was big into that stuff too. Thankfully i outgrew it, and thanks to these forums, i did it before i ruined my '00.

and the reason for it taking me 2 months is it was all done w/ no air tools until final prepping at the shop 20miles away. hand block sanders, thats about it. thermal expansion is not a problem either, the glue expands just as much as the paint, and as much as the metal. its 95 degrees here in the shade, its also been 45 i recorded. its all good.

onesexyga, it was a fun first car, i had blazers before that i worked on, but this is my first custom ride. i do what i can w/ what i got. a little constructive critisicm i can take, but bashing my car because it lost its GA image is horrible. i like "out of the ordinary" not just blending in w/ the crowd.

I never said it 'lost its ga image,' just stating my opinions. Im sure it was a fun project. It's hard to tell without seeing it in person, but the blocking looks pretty good. Given the resources you have access to, I think you could take some constructive criticism and turn it into a decent custom car, but thats up to you.

I'll say this, it's slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly growing on me.

Also, some of the things you took negatively were actually pretty positive. The criticism's were originally presented in a good manner and weren't meant as flaming, you did take things a bit out of control. Alot of good advice was passed around on how you can improve the look of your car, atleast take it into consideration and your car will look MUCH better the next time you post pictures.

I think if you had some 18s, it would make it POP just that much more. Try to photoshop to get a different feel of it.
