R1 Concepts Rotors and a Few Pics

Sorry the pics are a bit blurry. I should invest in a little tripod.
Chipped up caliper paint woohoo:

I love the rotors, definitely an upgrade. At $150 shipped you can't really beat it..I don't think.

I just ordered some Pontiac arrowhead overlays for my rims so that'll be a nice touch too.

Have you seen better stopping power with those on?

I wanna say yeah but I think the best improvement is the smoothness in braking. It feels very niice.

Looks real good. Black with a polished lip looks good (hence why i have the same). Don't really care for the silver rivits though. I wish my brakes looked that good, but its a losing battle living on a dirt road and driving in the winter.

i have had mine on for almost two years and the ceramic pads i installed at the same time still work great without surging or squeaking. Better wear characteristics than i expected.

Unfortunately you can't get better stopping performance without the expense of excessive pad wear. I was looking at these rotors, seem like a great deal, just worried about stress/cracking of the rotors with those drilled spots.

You won't get more stopping power from those rotors no matter what combination you have on them. You need bigger rotors and bigger multi-piston calipers for that. You can get a slight increase in stopping power with more aggressive pads and braided lines (more fluid pressure). Other than that, the main and only reason to buy those rotors is because the stock ones suck and warp all the time, and these look pretty. The slotting and cross drilling will wear the pads faster though and be more likely to develope stress cracks if you over heat them. Drilling+slotting=FTL.

Rims look sweet. Do you know if they make that same color and style in 16"?

Got my center cap overlays and I'm pumped. Definitely recommend these for anyone with aftermarket rims.
