Fusion is one of those questionable brands for me. they seem to put a lot of effort on looks (everything being that lime green you cant miss). but if you like them thats good to hear.

what other subs did you look at, and why did you decide on these?

It does seem like they try more sell their product more on looks than anything else. Glad you like 'em though.
How much did you spend?

i looked at a single 12 JL W1, 2 12inch Total Mobile Audios, and a Single RF Punch 2.
all of the subs i looked at, i wanted a ported box. the other subs seemed kinda loose on bass, not tight at all. yes i know its a ported box and its supposed to be boomy, but i wanted some tight bass for rock too.

i ended up spending around 600 for everything. i opted for the 4 gauge wiring in case i happen to want to upgrade.

i know alot of the amps and dust caps on made by fusion are flashy, but they do put out alot of sound. on my Alpine CDA-9885, i had the volume at 20 without subs. now with subs, i cant go above 16

Just remember that the worst part of you system (Cd player, Amp, subs) is the best your system will be.

If it pounds I like it. The green is different. Always good to be different, just dont paint your car that color

the amp runs 360 rms x 1 @ 2 ohms

i have a pretty stout cd player....alpine cda-9885...so i bet the weakest link is my stock speakers..they are gonna get upgraded to infinity soon

amps under 500 watts normaly only require 8 gauge. but its a good idea to step the wire up now, just incase you want to upgrade in the future. not to mention its surely not going to hurt anything

i guess i didnt need 4 gauge. but im glad i got it anyway. in case i happen to upgrade.

all in all, im very happy with my system. way beyond my original expectations of my first system.

in the future, i plan to upgrade to infinity speakers. and possibly amp them as well. but im not 100% sure on that. since that will probably end up happening in the spring. just because im on a tight budget for a long time now.

i wasnt going to let best buy touch my car...again...after they didnt get my steering wheel controls installed correctly.
and they were the only place that sells alpine in my area, and the 2 fusions i heard were putting out alot more volume than the single R...and i didnt want to look weird opening my trunk to show only 1 sub at school when the trend is to have 2 subs
