Bi Xenon is 1 bulb. It has a solenoid attached to the back of the bulb. When you turn the headlights to "bright", it physically pushes the bulb forward in the headlight housing to change the light output. It changes the light output because the point at where the bulb actually lights is in a different position in the headlamp housing. Its pretty sweet how it actually works. |

i just have the two bulb setup, and that has been good for me. but right now im working on a retro with oem housings and g35 bi-xenon projectors. I wish i would have known about the setup you guys have when i baught my first set of hids though.

they both go in the same area together. One goes further than the other for hi/low beam.

I believe the hids in my Maxima has a shield that moves when switching to bright.
Honestly, I can't see too good with just the hids in most conditions. The fog lights provide decent light on the ground and they are standard h3 bulbs. The hids seem best with the brights but I get flashed. I thought the new Buicks have an hid option and the Ford 500 ? |

My Vette has HID's the CTS, STS and the rest of the cadillacs do too.
Hopefully the G8 has some. |
