I didn't see a sunroof on that list...

Please don't tell me they are going to make another high performance vehicle without a sunroof option! Especially something thats supposed to be somewhat of a budget caddilac

i think itll sell better than most of you are saying. people are starting to move away from the SUV crazy due to gas prices, but they still want the V8s. people are HP crazy i guess.

in my area the 300/charger sells like crazy. i see a fair amount of v6, hemi, and srt8 versions of both. the G8 should sell well now, considering the 300/charger style is getting played out.

Anyway whats with the hate on the G8 all of a sudden? When the concept came out everyone praised it like it was the next GM halo car, and refferred to it as a "GTO with 4 doors". Now everyone bashes it.

Honestly I think its a cool ride. 35 grand ain't bad for a car thats a sports car and a family car. You get a charger or 300C with a V-8 and all the options it run you just as much, and at least the manual is coming out for it. Thats something GM has beat on chrysler. There is no manual nor plans for a manual for the 300C/Charger/Magnum

i tell you whats with the hate ? one guy make a bad comment and everyone follows suit... forums

i tend to stick to the facts -

from the pedders website

G8 Front Suspension

Beneath the surface of the new ZETA platform G8 is a new linear control suspension system and a variable ratio steering rack. The new steering rack is 10% faster than the previous GTO.

Using Chapman struts with progressive coils, individual control arms with two ball joints the front geometry forms a virtual pivot point.

The steering rack is mounted in front of the wheel to maintain Superior geometry.

Holden Commodore ZETA IRS

The new VE (ZETA Commodore / Pontiac G8) features a multi-link independent rear suspension. Progressive rate coil springs are used in both the front and rear

It is much improved over the GTO architecture. The G8 suspension is class leading technology that will compete with vehicles sold at much higher prices. Pedders has already completed our R&D for this chassis. It is capable of running coilovers at all four wheels. We can't wait for this vehicle to arrive in the USA. When it does we will have complete suspension solutions in stock and ready for installation. Actually, we already have parts in stock in the USA for the G8.

Guys,
I have been driving our VE Commodore(Pontiac G8) Test Car with several different Pedders product set ups on it and my god it handles!
Let me tell you this..hook the car into any corner at just about any speed and it just hooks in nicely. So nice its scary!

I can't wait to see all the "Just Test Drove a G8" threads popping up once the car starts hitting show rooms.

Speculation is a waste of time, go drive it first and tell us how you feel. Better yet, don't go test drive it if you can't afford it either, because that opinon won't count either way.

IMO, the car looks sexy as hell, it has all the potential of a M5 or CTS-V and costs $20k less. All good things in my eyes. Plus, i've got a particular favoritism towards anything coming from AUS now. Great quality vehicles, solid build.

everyone is leg humping this car except the pontiac people , how sad.

go ahead telling everyone how bad it is , don't be surprised if those around you that you would expect to bash it , turn around and say : " you know what , I like it ! "

oh and one more thing -

Pontiac Safari GT

Yeah thats what I like about the G8 and the overall design. Looks a lot more modern, and a lot more stylish and classy than its predecessor. Its also the first step in phasing out the 20 year old W-body. Also hear the next Impala is supposed to ride on the Zeta Platform too
