That's actually a great idea. I would prefer it if the admin setup a lil side paypal account or uses his own and doesn't touch it until it happens.

Interesting that you should so ask such a question. Looks like we'll have to add one more small detail to the rules and regs.

By many sanctioning bodies we are technically allowed to race in NHRA Sport Compact, and that it would be a major feat to get into the 12's all motor. We're going to institute some NHRA Sport FWD rules to clarify things on gutting the **** out of the car.

Minimum Weights
FWD 4-cylinder (1 power adder): 2,400 pounds
FWD 4-cylinder (2 power adders): 2,500 pounds
FWD 5-, 6-cylinder (1 power adder): 2,500 pounds
FWD 5-, 6-cylinder (2 power adders): 2,600 pounds

INTERIOR:
Complete interior, including dashboard, door panels, headliner, etc.
mandatory. Rear seat may be removed. Two matching front seats
mandatory. Aftermarket seats permitted, but must be fully
upholstered. All factory controls must be retained and operative;
i.e., lights, signals, horn, windows, and wipers.

EXHAUST:
All exhaust must flow through functioning muffler(s); must exit
behind rear tires. Any vehicle that did not come equipped with a
muffler(s) from the factory permitted, provided complete,
unmodified (except for header) OEM exhaust system is utilized.

NITROUS OXIDE:
Commercially available nitrous oxide permitted, including for
supercharged and turbocharged engines. Nitrous bottle(s) in driver
compartment must be equipped with a relief valve and vented
outside of driver’s compartment. Bottle(s) must be stamped with a
DOT-1800-pound rating and permanently mounted (no hose
clamps or tie wraps). Hoses from bottle(s) to solenoid must be
high-pressure steel-braided or NHRA-accepted hoses.
Commercially available, thermostatically controlled, blanket-type
warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottle(s)
prohibited. See General Regulations 1:9.
SUPERCHARGER, TURBOCHARGER:
Permitted. Restricted to a single turbocharger. Turbocharger must
utilize a turbine housing inlet flange commonly referred to as a
T04. The turbine housing inlet flange may be smaller but may
never exceed the T04 dimensions in any direction. Limited to a
maximum 72mm turbo, where the maximum compressor housing
inducer diameter is 72.78mm, measured at the point where the
leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the housing. K Series
engines limited to a maximum 66mm turbo, where the maximum
compressor inducer diameter is 67.37mm, measured at the point
where the leading edge of the compressor wheel meets the
housing. Compressor wheel inducer diameter not to exceed this
value, and contours of wheel must not be “stepped, notched, or
clipped”; e.g., the contours must be continuous features from the
inducer to the wheel exducer. Exotic material wheels prohibited.

TIRES:
DOT or racing slicks permitted with a maximum width of 9.0 inches
and maximum height of 25.0 inches. Racing slicks must be NHRAaccepted
and appear on the following list. Retreads, space-saver
spares, or any other non-DOT-approved tire prohibited.

FIREWALL:
Complete OEM firewall mandatory. Mini-tubbing prohibited. See
General Regulations 6:1, 7:4.
FLOOR:
OEM floorpan, front to rear, mandatory.
STREET EQUIPMENT:
Windshield wipers mandatory. Complete headlight and taillight
assemblies (all) mandatory; must be operative.
WINDSHIELD/WINDOWS:
Complete OEM windshield and windows mandatory. Windows must
be operative per factory specifications.

Okay guys, those are some of the NHRA Sport FWD rules. For sake of being clear and making it easy should we add some of these? or just say if you're trying to win our cash follow the NHRA Sport FWD rules?? Input kids.

Ok, here you go guys...

EDIT - see down 3 posts for the website, with a DONATE link to the PayPal Account

It is a dedicated PayPal account for this. It is NOT verified, therefore it is NOT tied to my bank account at all. When all is said and done, I may have to verify to in order to send the money. I am also willing to set up a website for this, basically to lay out all the rules and whatever else. Or, we can just keep it in this thread. Doesn't matter to me. But that option is out there if you guys want it. I'm not saying it will be anything fancy. Hell, it might just be a single page stating what the challenge is about, the rules for the challenge and the current money in the pot.

^^ That sounds like a good plan, just a simple single page with the rules and the current pot, along with the e-mail for donations.

This is open to the 2.2 and 2.4 owners as well so hopefully the 60degreev6.com portion doesn't confuse people. I will go ahead and send my $50 to that account though and you can deal with it from there:P

Money sent. Who is taking ownership of this in case there is a dispute? No offence Spy, but since you're in the running, it should be someone else.

Seeing as I am the one receiving the money, AND I can't compete in the competition (since I own a Beretta... although we do own a 2.2L Alero... hmmm), I would say I am taking ownership of it. I think enough people around here know me that it shouldn't be an issue.

Ok, I just looked at the PayPal account since Ben and Matt mentioned they had sent money. Since I signed up for a Premier account (in case anyone decided to pay with a CC), I get charged a slight fee for every transaction. So the grand total in the end will reflect that. I will keep the website updated (once it gets designed) with the ACTUAL total in the account, so everyone knows the prize amount.

Just for informational purposes, the fees are as follows:

$25 yields a $1.03 fee, therefore final donation is $23.97
$50 yields a $1.75 fee, therefore final donation is $48.25

So, as it stands right now, we are at $72.22 in the pot.
