Not quite true. I've been keeping up with the supply and the "shortage" is going to be a continual thing for awhile. CF parts are no problem like I've mentioned in the other threads, because they use smaller sheets of raw CF. The problem with hoods is that ideally it should be made out of one continuous sheet.

Anyways, I need to respond to an email from Cerious so I'll try and get some info on it.

I have been looking into a carbon fiber hood for my stealth. Every company i have called and researched says they have them in stock. Full cf hoods not fiberglass/cf overlay. I just don't get why the GA cf hood would be diffrent. You would think they would repsond to a thread like this with all this money people have invested.

Not to come to their rescure or anything because this should have been resolved a long time ago, but take a step back and think about what you just said. Of all the people that wanted one maybe 6-7 actually threw down the cash. Of those probably 3-4 pulled out already...leaving, *gasp* 3-4 people actually still in the GB. As much as it's the responsibility of Cerious to get these hoods out it's also the people in the GB's responsibility to keep them on track. That's why originally had it setup so the deposit was cheap and fully refundable.

Well of course some of the people pulled out and there aren't many left. After two years what do you expect? Ya think people will just wait forever? They probably got tired of waiting and either wanted to use the money for something else or were afraid the hood would never get done and wanted their money back. Can you blame them? It should have been done long ago.

Once again...you missed the point of the post. Of everyone that was interested initially only 6-7 put money down of which a few people have pulled out already. The point was brought up that for whatever reason Cerious should respond to this post- considering that ultimately there's maybe 3-500 dollars invested from users all of which is 100% refundable this probably isn't their top priority product. That's all.

You missed my point too... which is that maybe if they actually got some products made that didn't suck and their service didn't suck more people would be interested and willing to buy and make downpayments. It's no wonder no one wants to make an advance payments when they're going to wait forever. People want to see something for the money they are spending duh.

It's not painted white. It's just the color of the resin used. You'd need to have it painted and cleared to match your car. Don't be cheap.

Depending on how close it is you may only need to clearcoat it- but like I said you're better off painting because the fit and finish will be much nicer.

The answer to your question depends on how much they're going for on eBay and how much a local shop would charge to paint it. Use the search- you should be able to get a few quotes from other owners with SD hoods.
