2006 malibu SS - Page 2

I'm not sure about that. I only know that the motor in the G6 GTP is the same motor thats in my SS not sure if this intake would fit any of the 5.3 or 6.0 litre V8s. Yea so def don't quote me on that one.

Ah thats right, the SS malibu only has the 3.9. I thought it had the V8 like the Monte SS. They make an intake for the MC SS, but I cant figure out if it will fit on the 3.9 engine.

In your sig you mentioned the the 06 Monte Carlo LTZ if. If I'm correct the 06 and 07 LTZ use the 3900 motor ..but the SS uses the 5.3. An intake for the 5.3 won't fit the 3.9 as the air chamber tube on the 3900 is much longer than on the 5.3. Now i imagine if you wanted to reposition the intake for the Malibu to take in more air and sort of make a short ram intake it could be possible..but i dunno. I'll have to take a look at my car and see about it. But back on topic. I forgot to say that I like what you've done with your SS ram444. I especially like the dashkit. I'm looking into getting a silver carbon fiber kit, similar to what the Impala SS comes with factory. Keep up the good work

Thank you.. I need to see pics of your SS as well. I have many more things I am going to do. Just wait till next summer.

On another note... Have you heard anything about the Intrax lowering springs for our cars? That might be the next thing I do.

I haven't but I am possibly looking for lowering springs as well. Which would be better..to get coilovers or lowering springs. Different people tell me different things. I don't want to lower the car too much..just enough to give it a more aggressive stance. I finally found my digital camera so I am going to take pictures either today or tommorow..and I will post them up here and make a cardomain for it.

I haven't really heard of anything coming up, but I haven't really been looking since I am at school, and don't have my car here. I don't know that there are really any car shows at the end of fall/winter, but there are always spring and summer meets.
