The tweets are down in the kickpanels, flush-mounted (for now) and firing directly across the car at each other. Hard-dome tweeters are easier to tame when they're not pointed directly at you, which I learned from my old Kappa tweets that I had in my sail panels last year. I'm not running any rear deck speakers. I have no decent pics right now. Someone is making me some MDF rings, one pair to angle the tweeters slightly up and towards the cabin, the other pair so I can make a nice set of grills for the mids. Then I need to re-carpet the trunk. Then you guys'll get pics. ![]() But yeah, WAY off topic. LOL |

And that's kinda the point I've been trying to get across. Expensive equipment means NOTHING, the install is way more important. It's not always worth spending $400+ on speakers, when your current $50 speakers may have plenty of untapped potential. And sorry, the fact that you install for a living doesn't impress me. 95% of installers don't get paid for doing an excellent job, they get paid for doing a mediocre job and getting it done fast. I've had enough shoddy work done by 'reputable' installers to just do everything myself, unless it's beyond my abilities. Like fiberglassing, which I suck at. NOTE: That wasn't an attack on you or anyone's installing abilities, which I know nothing about. I'm just trying to find out if you're 'all mouth' or not. You sound like a typical "MINEZ THE BEST LOL!!!111!1" punk, but I'm hoping you can prove me wrong. Got some more details, or pics even? Last edited by jperryss; 10-29-2007 at 08:32 PM. |
