Cool FS: Tinted LED tails, misc. bulbs

Asking $200 OBO shipped.

I've traded in the GAGT and well... no longer need these. I'd rather someone who enjoys their car get these, rather than let them go with the trade in.

You do need to purchase load resistors separately so you don't have hyperflash when using your blinkers. They are very easy to install, and you can get them off of e-bay. Otherwise, are plug & play. These do not have the same issue that the ones you buy off of e-bay have.

They were built by RickHigginsHtbr on GAOC, who I bought them from, and used them for a few months.

The tint is 3M dent resistant tint that's nearly 5% - it can be removed if you'd like the lights to be brighter.

I also have a couple unopened/unused light bulbs - Sylvania 912, 880 (fog light), and 3057LL (tail light) - Make offers on bulbs.

I also have a set of cable chains - if no one buys them they're getting gifted to a friend for Christmas

Those tails are pretty nice. I like them better than the one's off of E-Bay.

The fuel pump has been recalled - if it fails, I can take it to a Ford dealer to have them replace it, no cost. I did research before I bought it... the only other major problem is the alternator goes out pretty easy, and the sunroof sucks, but I live where it rains a lot . I'd rather deal with that than the LIM the GA had....

But thanks, I LOVED the tails

FWIW the alternator on the 2.5 duratec is harder/more expensive to change than the LIM on a GA. Having had a Contour SVT, I'm sure the Cougar is a lot more fun, I love the motor/transmission in my SVT. But be ready to pay out for repairs, the Duratec isn't price friendly on a lot of parts, and the transmission is pretty common for syncro failures, and a weak differential. All the being said, I still my my SVT...

Don't mind the GA bein dirty... this was when I first put them on...

After the car broke down and was put in the corner...

That's all I have. I didn't really have them on the car for more than a few months.

Yeah, I've heard about the alt - would that be something that would normally be covered by a warranty? Yeah I looked up the price for the IACV which is starting to need replacing and it's like $100-200, though I'm trying to find it cheaper.

Are the tails all you have left of the GA? I like these but can't afford them. I would like the shorty antenna if you have it

Unfortunately in terms of parking spaces go, the dealership hasn't towed it off yet... but the shorty antenna has been sold.

I also would consider non-GA related trades, like audio stuff, universal type parts, or even non-car related, I need a carpet shampooer

or $170+Shipping.

I'm not desparate to sell these, though I'd love to see someone else get some use out of them, they look good, I seriously love these tails.

Eh I didn't really mod the GA much other than the tails, K&N air filter (not intake), and painted interior pieces.

I'm mostly looking for audio stuff for the Cougar, other than some base model Pioneer head unit, everything is stock I believe.

I've got spare bulbs, that I listed above ... The dealership still hasn't picked up the GA yet... they said they'd get it in a couple days, and it's been a week...

Do you happen to have the LED 3rd brake light on the car still? would you consider a trade for it? I still love those tails I'll go beg my wife again

I never had a LED 3rd brake light... wish I did though

I will consider trades. Although the car has been sitting at my house a month now after I traded it in... I might call the dealership and see if they're ever going to take it, or if I can keep it/buy it back for what they gave me for it... and in that case, the tails won't be for sale anymore.
