300 hp is quite a bit of power! Especially for a V6! But I am curious as to why the direct injection wasn't thrown on the G6 GXP as well. You'd like to think since its the "GXP" version they would put the best version of the 3.6 DOHC engine they could

Cadillacs are more expensive cars, so they can hide the extra cost easier. They are going to start putting it on Vette's soon, since it's the same concept. Once they technology gets cheaper and more available, then they put it on lower class cars.
