yes and i think you for the info. i think i was the first to do it on a GA, and i think theres more ga owners that are into doing this stuff than alero owners (not to start a pissing match, hell i dont even have an n-body anymore).

what is the inner diameter of the stock 16" GP wheels, imo i think the 5-spoke rims have a smaller inside diameter, i'll measure mine at some point. I just want to make sure a rim will fit.

I can't wait to do this upgrade. Next spring I'll probably get on it.

i think it still depends on the offset, but if the offset is correct then yes it will fit.

I recently found out that these calipers are the same as the Corvette:

04-07 Cadillac XLR Calipers

I haven't tried them yet.....won't go on till late winter.

Makes sense, considering they are built in the same plant.

I am wondering if the XLR caliper would allow better clearances on some of the 16 inch wheels. They don't have the casting ribs on the top of the caliper compared to the Camaro/Corvette ones.

Its not the ribs thats an issue, well even the top of the caliper. The plastic part of the chrometeck rim is close to the part of the caliper facing the outside

The XLR and 'Vette calipers are identical aside from the name. The F-Body ones you see the ribs because they're thinner material in the front. The F-bodies also still used 16" wheels.

what about gto calipers?
would they be the same too?
It would make more sense for other pontiac parts go on a pontiac, even if they are the same as the corvette?
