A local car club (www.thechicagogarage.org) is planning a spring meet, with a possible track rental if there is enough interest. The first meet we had this fall, around 50 cars showed up to just hang out at Busse woods. The next day at the track byron had to give us two lanes of our own at the track. There were easily over 100 cars RACING in our group, not including people that just tagged along to hang out. When things get more solidified I can post up more info if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested if you guys don't mind a Malibu in the group. Either Northern Indiana or at lvemy3100's area would do, and to be honest I'd bet if you had it around Mark he'd help you in planning the event.

Alright, let's build up a list of locations then to hold it, vote..then assign the locals to setting things up. Right now it looks to be up between chicago and northern indiana..am I missing any others that were proposed?

I'll start contacting the newer members in my area and see if they'd be down for making arrangements. I'll also talk to some car clubs around here and see if they have or know of any events around the time we're shooting for.

if we did it up here again the track day would have to be held at Great Lakes Dragaway and of course as was mentioned I would be glad to either help and/or Host this....

edwardsburg, MI is a short drive away..they have a strip bar there that's supposed to be good..I'll be visiting it this winter break.

A few of us from unitedmalibu.com are interested. I already started another thread to see if anyone would be interested in a multi meet, all GM cars. If you guys wouldnt mind we would love to join you. As Glow stated Mark would be more than happy to help if it were around his area.

yeah, theres not much to do in toledo, but there is a track about 40 minutes in milan. i vote chicago or if people are interested we could go for sandusky again.

You have my vote too. Its close to GLD, there are places to hang out with a large group of cars, easy to find a hotel to stay at, and its close enough to the city if anyone wants to do that.

AJ we need to think of a place that is away from people, like that meet in Alma, but not in BFE. i'm thinking some where close to the OC track. once we all meet up we go anywhere, the question is where. i'll think about it and get back with you.
