I think it was just the angle of the pic. They are aftermarkets with halos.

I'm reading up on the DRL modification so I can be ready for HID. Started wishing it was a 99-00 after reading how much easier it is for them

woah...he BOUGHT those headlights? it wasn't just a custom one-off, pryed-open-after-baking-then-installed-projectors hackjob?

what the hell. When I had mine, there were NO aftermarket options. Right towards the end, they came out with those black ones.

Buy them and then see if they were right. I doubt they test fitted them, let alone even open up the box of the product to see what they are selling.

Yeah, I left in the feedback on ebay that they required modification to install. I knew that already, so it didn't bother me, but they really shouldn't list them as "direct drop in replacement, no modification necessary." Had I not already read the threads on here about installing them I would have been pissed that they didn't fit right away.

Have to adjust them tonight when it gets dark.
So wait, you can swap out the bulbs that are already in the projector headlights?

Yes. They are just standard H1 halogens.

exactly where did you get these from? there are a few different ebay-ers selling them and they appear somewhat different from seller-to-seller. EDIT: Also, do you think we can get some pics of night useage-preferably one with just the angel eyes?

the lights are from k2motor on ebay.

The front lip is part of the sc/t kit from pfyc.com

I hate to be a pain in a$$ , but what exactly do you have to do as far as modding the header panel? it looks to me like you would have to cut some of the plastic around the hole where the low-beam light goes.

I'm thinking of changing the LED's out with amber ones.

As for the header panel, you have to cut a pretty good chunk of the plastic behind the headlight. I think ancona had a thread where he actually posted a pic of how much he had to cut out.
