free parts for you... yeah it does sound good. But what events would you run? Would you be doing NHRA Sport Compact series? NOPI? BOTI? All the street classes boosted or N/A the cars are running 11.5 and faster. The boosted classes are in low 10's and some competitors are squeaking high 9's. The Hondas and Ecotec guys will be putting the HUMP on us. I would know I've participated and checked out a few of the events.

Or are you talking about just being all show?

NO SHOW it would be all go any event that would be in the south i would go to as far as the group i would be depend on the parts in the car i'm not going to put a muffler and intake on then go and run in the pro street classes now would i

I think it sounds good to me too. The most you will get, is a company that will give you parts for their cost, and you have to show up to events when they want you to.

you wouldn't even qualify in the street class with those parts.

There has been a few turbo cars done this fall already. At least one wont blow up, and maybe make it into the 12s. Not to talk it up, but Ive got the biggest build here right now. As soon as the holiday season is over I can spend a lot more $$$ on it. Hell, in the last two months Ive dropped about $2k on parts...

Every time I read something in this thread i wonder what will happen if nobody meets the goal. What happens to the money, has someone kept track of exactly who put how much money in the pot, so if nobody hits the goal, does each person get back exactly what they put in?....just curious.

Good point............ Anybody want to agree to a nice addendum?

If nobody gets 12s in 2008,

then in 2009 the first two people to hit 12's gets to split the pot. Or the first person to hit 12.50000000000000000 or better gets the WHOLE pot, if still available.
