I have a 2005 GT. Its a great car, the 3.8L will last you forever, I have only once been to the dealership with it.

What other GM products could I get for 10-15k that would be better than the Grand Prix?

Its true the GP is nothing but a bloated grand am, get a truck if you want good in the snow theres probably plenty of used GM trucks you can get for 15k

If it has to be a GM, look for an Equinox- you could probably get a first year of that car for a resonable price, since nothing that GM makes holds its resale value at all.

^ I agree with the Equinox, look for an '05. AWD would solve the snow problem. If there aren't any Equinoxes in the price range look for a first gen VUE, same thing as the Equinox only uglier.

if you decide to go the SUV route you could get an AWD VUE for i bet relatively cheap.

I had an equinox. the AWD isn't all it's cracked up to be, but yeah, it did handle well for what it was. rarely did the rear tires actually kick in, get a fwd they are cheaper
