Im shocked more people dont buy bikes. I mean they are cheaper to buy, cheaper to maintain, easier to maintain, better mpg, cheaper insurance, easier to store and keep nice plus they will smoke just about anything on the road. Im done modding 4 wheels, in the end they are still slow, no matter what it is.

I pointed out the one grossly incorrect statement of many correct statements.

The insurance is in no way cheaper. I was looking at a Sport Touring bike, not even a full out Sport bike, and my insurance was roughly $3800 for the year. FOR THE YEAR. That was almost twice the payment on the bike.

Now if you go with a cruiser, its a different story as I pay something like $800 yearly on the Harley.

But rockets are not cheap to insure unless you go without full coverage (good bye cost of bike when (not if) she gets laid down) or go uninsured which is even worse.

Anyhow that is a sick looking bike! Very tastefully done in my opinion. I am considering a used GSXR750 my self, depending on cost of insurance. That or just pick up a second or new HD

The rockertail is pretty bad ass.

Any new mods planeed for the future?

I pay alot more than that for PLPD on my grandam.

Who is your insurance company, how many vehicles do you have on the policy, and realize you are over that magical 25 age. Suddenly at 25 we all apparently take less risks.

And maybe it is a state thing, almost everyone I know pays an arm and a leg for insurance in my area, or just says fock it and does not insure. that is not a route I am willing to take.

I was getting quotes of $2000-$4500 a year for full coverage.
So i called state farm and they wanted $426 a year. So i went with state farm, i have no other vehicles insured through them, only the bike.

Also when i turned 25 my rates didnt go down at all.

They are even one of the places I called. So, who knows.

Its not unheard of at all, check all the sportbike forums and run a search for state farm, just about everyone is getting the same thing or close to it.
