Peyton Manning, Tony Romo and Tom Brady are all standing in front of an
empty table with God sitting at the head.

God asks Peyton Manning first: "What do you believe?" Peyton thinks long
and hard, looks God in the eye, and says, "I believe in hard work, and
in staying true to family and friends. I believe in giving. I was lucky,
but I always tried to do right by my fans." God can't help but see the
essential goodness of Manning, and offers him a seat to his left.

Then God turns to Tony Romo and says, "What do you believe?" Tony says,
"I believe passion, discipline, courage and honor are the fundamentals
of life. I, too, have been lucky, but win or lose, I've always tried to
be a true sportsman, both on and off the playing field." God is greatly
moved by Tony's sincere eloquence, and he offers him a seat to his
right.

Finally, God turns to Tom Brady: "And you, Tom, what do you believe?"
Tom replies, "I believe you're in my seat."

One day to the championships. For once I'm acctually more excited about the NFC championship than the AFC Championship! I'm rooting on the Pack, but its going to be hard to root against the Giants. If the Giants should win I won't be terribly upset.

As for the AFC championship, well I'm predicting 52-7 New England honestly. Don't get me wrong I'm rooting on the Chargers, but lets get real, they don't stand a chance in hell of beating New England. They might have a little bit of a chance if Rivers and LT were healthy, but they aren't.

Superbowl will be New England vs. Green Bay....

hmmm... that sounds familiar. oh yes... 11 years ago, New England vs. Green Bay, Super Bowl XXXI... Brett's first ring. I'd really like to see Green Bay beat them and Brett retire afterwards, get the storybook ending for a great QB... but honestly I will admit New England is going to be hard to stop at this point.

As much as I'd like to be confident about the Pats, I still think it's gonna be a slugfest. If Rivers, Tomlinson and Gates are all effective, it's gonna be a good game. However if they're not, it could get ugly.

Lt and rivers will both play. Even if LT doesnt play, Michael Turner is actually very very good.

But in the words of Junior Seau... "No football player ever plays at 100%, we are always hurt, always hiding our injuries."

Such a old old old old old old old old old wise man. Who actually turns 39 today!!

Happy Birthday Junior, hope Rivers pegs you in the sack for your birthday..

Rivers is doubtful, but he'll start and play through pain for sure. They are saying he has a slightly torn ACL. He'll prolly tear it and Bille will be in and try to lead his team to the biggest upset in NFL history....

The Chargers are a real lucky team honestly. The only reason they are were they are was because their division sucks so bad. Tennesee didn't give them a good matchup and Indy's Defense couldn't stop an old Grandma that game. I honestly don't think NE is going to come out flat like Indy did. They've been playing for 17 games now and lets face it, the pats are going to be a lot sharper than the Colts were last week.

I'm still rooting on the Chargers tommorrow, but I gotta be realistic. The only reason they had 3 turnovers against the Colts were more of the Colts mistakes than the Chargers playing good defense. The Colts couldn't stop their offense, but the Chargers couldn't stop the Colts offense either... just the Colts made more mistakes than they did.

Now I guess they might have a chance against new england if they play them straight up. They will need to run LT and Turner right down NE's weak run defense all day. Control the time of the clock, keep pace, slow NE down and pray for one turnover. The cold weather might have an advantage for San Diego but then again since they are a california team it might be a disadvantage for them too.

I'm not sure how its going to be, but honestly I just don't see San Diego doing it. Would be nice to see them claim what they thought was rightfully theres a year ago (just like Pitsburgh and Indy did) but its so unlikely.

Damn.

Didn't cover the spread though for those of you that bet.

Closer than we thought it would be at least.

Now back to cheering for the Pats to go 19-0.

Yeah the Chargers played harder than I thought... they just couldn't score TD's. Had they been able to do that, they would of won.

Kinda glad in away the "last years best team wins the next years superbowl" pattern is over now. Now the #1 seed in the AFC can acctually win it all again!
