I look crazier than her if you figure in the cost of those vehicles, plus the mods I have put into them

That was in my wife's name prior to us getting married, so I didn't technically include that.

Ahh right. I just always remember what you said about owning an orange car..
First couple months.. "sweet it's orange!"
After 6 months... "yeah, it's orange, cool"
After a year..... "damn, it IS orange."
After 2 years.... "what the hell was I thinking, I have an ORANGE car"

Looks nice. I like both the GXP and GTP coupe. I can't really blame her for wanting to trade in the GTP coupe, that old 3.9 engine sucks! outdated pushrod motor, with high displacement and very low output for the displacement! Only got like 240hp.

Really like the look of the new GXP but dissapointed that it is nothing more than last years GTP coupe with an appearance package add on. They should of threw a supercharger on it, maybe vented disc brakes or a superior suspension.

Anyway nice car!

Exactly! I look at all the money I'm saving by not smoking over $5 a pack. A pack of smokes in Wisconsin was under $4.00 before. I like to buy drinks at the local liquor store rather then go out and have to pay $3.50 for a bottle of beer. Just like on my cell phone thru Sprint. I keep my bill at $45 a month I don't text message which costs extra. It's just little things sometimes you don't realize how much you are actually saving. I still live at home while I'm finishing up school but I paid for my tuition upfront and it's nice not worrying about any school loans having to payback.

And yet you bought a beater so you would save money on gas, and then you traded in your other car for a new one while losing thousands of dollars. So, you really didn't save any money by quitting smoking, you just put that money into two cars...

I'm 25 and I never smoked my entire life. I think you read my post wrong. If people want to suck the cancer sticks go right ahead but I never smoked. I hate the aroma and it burns my eyes.

Then you can't say you're saving money if you don't spend it in the first place. It doesn't make any sense.

I'm saving hundreds of millions of dollars by not building myself a stealth bomber.

See the problem here is woman logic. Here is how it works:

"Hey hun, I bought some new shoes and a purse today at the store!"
"...how much?"
"Oh about $450"
"WTF?!"
"No no no, they were on sale. I saved over $300!"
"BUT YOU STILL SPENT $450!"
"Yes, but I SAVED $300!"

Yeah I'd like to see what the somewhat Legendary GTLUVA looks like too. Anyway her GXP's payment is less than her GTP, so I don't see what the problem is there. Its what you call " a deal you can't refuse". Better car, better engine, less money.

And i do smoke cigs... it sucks. about $4.08/pack here in Indy.

Umm, NO !

Someone = failed in finances.

You got to remember that there was already 25 payments made on the G6 GTP.
So she was not upside down on the loan for the G6 GTP.
& they give her some money towards the G6 GXP.
But depreciation is a bitch.

So G6 GXP = more money.

But it is her money, so as long as GTLUVA is happy with it.
(& doesn't whine/complain that she has no money.)

The dealer gave me $16,500 for my G6 GTP so it was higher than what I owed GMAC on it and my payments are cheaper.

So she paid 25x$478 in monthly payments ($11,950) + the downpayment on her G6 GTP.
The dealer gave her $16,500 on her G6 GTP - the balance on the original loan.

So therefore, it cost her for 25 months of ownership on the G6 GTP:
25 monthly payments ($11,950) + the original downpayment on the G6 GTP - trade-in amount given ($16,500) + the cost of the remaining balance on her GMAC loan.
