Well if it's painted you wouldn't see that. CF parts don't have a textured surface ya know.

The surface is just the epoxy resin you see that is clear and polished over top of the CF fabric.

Anyway, the hood looks great. Always a great addition to the car, and I like the "painted to match" look better as well. In fact that's what I did with mine.

This topic has been brought back from the dead. I'm just wondering, i'm storing the car outdoors with the CF hood on it. Is there anything that can go wrong with it due to the cold? I have a premium car cover, then a tarp over top to protect from the elements.

should have left part of the hood carbon but killer none the less.

I leave my carbon fiber hood on all year around i have never once had a problem with it.

cool man...thats what i was looking for. And i would have left just infront of the vents carbon fiber. but when i got the hood it was already painted silver....I still love it though. I;ve got black headlights on the way as well as all new sct decals that are gloss black with chrome outline....should look fantastic
