Yeah, it does suck. It wasn't really a snow storm here, it was a ice storm and the interstate was good but that bridge just got me to say the least. Didn't expect the weather to run as it did. You're not dumb tho. Guess my friends are agreeing that the whole car tweaked outa shape, the whole front left is demolished. I'm guessing that all the panels that it smashed, from the hood, the bumper, the front panel, the door, the gt molding, the rear bumper, and the quarter panel and the list goes on after looking at it more. Guess the adjuster is coming as soon as the roads clear up after this storm. Hopefully i get enough out of it for a different ride soon.

Ouch! Damn man. At least you're okay though. Sh*t sucks about the car. Saw the same mess happen to alot of people in the winter of 96-97 in Louisiana while I was stationed at Ft. Polk. There was a hill the curved downwards and I saw five cars go off into the ditch next to it from my barracks window. Southerners can't drive in rain let alone winter/icy weather. Kinda glad I don't have to deal with the harsh wather in Georgia. Hope they get your sh*t straight for ya.

Before they got it up on the lift, from the damage as far as the body, its repairable. As soon as they get it up on the lift, they'll re-evaluate it and let me know if they'll want to do the frame repair and the suspension. If anyone is interested in the sub boxes that i had made for it, they're up for grabs. If they do repair it, i'm trading the car off for a different one. Just wouldn't drive like it used to, nor be the same. Hate to say it but i guess this car will be traded in for something that i like more, probably a manual coupe of similar sportiness. Guess i'll keep ya'll updated. If there are any other parts that may interest you, then let me know, i'll pull off what i can that isn't factory, and i'll just have the body shop put the factory air box, air baffle, and those parts back on. No use in it not being almost stock again when i'm trading it in on something else.

They're gonna go ahead and fix it. It'll cost $60 for the parts since they're wear items, and then the rest of the deductable on the insurance. I'm no long going to have this car as its going to be given to my mom. I'm taking on a slightly older but faster vehicle thats a 5spd manual. I pick it up on Friday, a Black 95 Civic with a DOHC VTEC, B16A, that redlines at 8,200 rpms that has 60,000 miles on it, a brand new transmission/clutch with receipts. Its a pretty impressive car, i've driven it. It'll be a good car for me for the price i paid. Gotta sell my moms Sable now that she's taking on the Grand Am GT.

Haha, oh, it'll do what i need. My mom needed a better car, and i needed something with a manual transmission and it fit the bill and more. I've been looking at one before i got my 57 F-250 so i guess it was just a matter of time. The loan went through, so i pick it up Friday, i'll definitely enjoy it, but the school i'm going to won't. Most of it is muscle or stock imports so it'll be a interesting rest of my senior year. I plan on getting a lota crap but hey, i can give crap back :P

My mom has the car back now, got most of my parts off of it while they were working on it, so its back to stock basically. Just been busy with working at Target more and school, and soon college. You know how it goes, i did post up a link for the pics if you didn't like the slideshow.

Some of the turbo components may be sold, or used on the Civic, right now its in a box at the shop with the stock parts back on. The back brakes drag, they have to make a new line for the front brakes that got smashed, and right now the hood alignment isn't very nice, it sinks down under the fender line, so there are the few things that won't be the same. Also something in the steering isn't right, it has a well a clunk that can be felt when you start to steer either way, so they're still looking at that. Guess it won't be the same car again, the rear end was out of alignment by a few inches. I'd post pics of the turbo set up, but i didn't have any after the installation, and now i have a extra oil pan, and all the parts are still down at their shop. The Civic could use the boost for the tq for the tall tranny it has. as far as pics, there is a link about the crash, but thats about all really, i'm gonna salvage what i can and sell what i don't need.

waittt did you really say that the civic is faster??? ummm my GA right now runs the same as a civic with a turbo running 6 psi, granted it is a d15 sohc non vtak but still. Sad day to see a GA go glad you are ok that would be scary i remember those days when I was in high school and living in colorado hmmm ford exploder with broken 4 wheel drive, my front diff wouldn't engage into 4 wheel and i would have had to switch it manual locking front diff a big PITA.

Anyways glad you are ok and good luck with the civic project. bummer grand am in winter ftl.

Hmm, that would explain it, guess i'll have her take it down and have them look it over, don't need it in any accidents for not taking precautions you know

The reason the Civic is faster is cause it has the JDM B16A 2nd gen engine that puts out 170 hp stock which for 1.6 liters is impressive, but it also redlines at a lil over 8200 rpms, then the tall tranny has a few draw backs, but the B series DOHC engines will out run the SOHC honda engines. I'm gonna boost the Civic soon, to take full advantage of its tall tranny, no use in just leaving it NA when it already has the fuel support and JG Edelbrock intake for boost. I'll post pics up of the cars side by side, and maybe a movie of a race sooner or later. VTECH is a pretty neat thing, my gf's dad is looking at cams for me now. The GA is back on the road now. I used to have a 78 F-150 with manual lock outs on the front, i liked it because i knew it'd be reliable. But gas wasn't cheap for a 400 M-block with a Holley double pumper and edelbrock intake. Thanks. i'll still stick around here, and help out and what not, besides, i still have keys to the GA
