That's because I am passively looking, since I am still at school now. I'm not in a hurry. Jerkfacehead.

I'm always passively looking for a GTO for a good price.

Matt, arent they actually Aisin transmissions, or is that only 07 + ?

Why not run a tranny cooler to bring those temps down when you are moving?

Car Issues

That's sucks! I'm a GM girl so I stick with their products. My 02 Saturn is the best beater I bought. It's almost about to roll 47,000 miles and it runs great besides going thru a $1000 sunroof modeule when I just got it. But really the only thing I replaced was the keyless remote and some light bulbs and had the door resealed. Otherwise it has no signs of rust except on the exhaust. The breaks squeak sometimes but that's it. I'm not bragging about Saturn but I've been a owner for 6 months and I'm pretty pleased.

I think that's only the 07 and up.... aren't the newer ones 6 speed autos? I know the transmission changed in 06 or 07. And I fully plan on having an in-line transmission cooler installed... I just never thought it would fail this quickly, you know? It was going to be something I'd try to get in this summer.

Stacy- I don't really have a problem with you, but you have to stop with this crap. I started this thread to bitch about MY problems.... I do not care at all what you have had happen to your car. You know why people give you so much sh!t on here? Because you butt into threads flapping your lips about your car, when the thread has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE G6. On top of that, you come across as arrogant, and frankly, you make some poor financial decisions.

yeah.....transmissions should last you to at least 100k, if not way more. thats pathetic. you have a pretty new car and have prbly had more problems in the last few months with it than you ever did with all the time you had your GA

Only thing that EVER took the GA down was when I hit that pothole and it blew a wheel right off.... granted, a major problem, but it never quit running on me. I had that from 40,000 miles till 95,000 miles.

UPDATE: Gee, the dealership couldn't reproduce the problem in full automatic mode, only in "sport shift" (slap shifter thingie), and then only when you shift it at 20 mph instead of the recommended 25 mph. So, they aren't going to do ****.... they told me that if it gets worse, bring it back. Pricks.

Just bounce it off the rev limiter in nuetral, and slam it in gear at every light.

Oh trust me I'm slamming it from gear to gear pretty hard, but I'm not going to torture the engine at all, ya know?

I'd be more than willing to give your girlfriend and her sisters rides when your car is down.

Thanks for the update- crossing yet another car off my test drive list now. *sigh*

Maybe the previous owner beat on the car you never know, can't really generalize and say all mazda 6s are crap...when you buy a used car you cross your fingers and hope the last owner didnt beat the crap out of it. If you use the sport shift a lot and slam the gears the transmission isnt going to last.
