The interior looks really cheap.

And I'm talking cheap for a neon cheap...

Wow, what a piece of garbage. Those numbers are pathetic for a 400+ hp car. I thought the whole idea with retro cars is classic styling and updated technology. Putting a big v8 in an overweight pile of steel is tech straight out of the late 60's. Then they take one of the cooler parts of a retro car, the interior, and completely scrap it for an off the shelf interior. Nothing is retro. They didn't even use the pistol grip shifters the mopar muscle cars used. Retro is overplayed anyways.

Typical Chrysler deliver less quality for more money. Have them break more often and be more expensive to repair.

Why don't any of their cars have manuals? I would think that the concept Challenger would at least have a manual, even if they aren't going to offer it with one...

All that sort of stuff opens up after the lauch year, including lesser power engines and lower prices.

What did you expect, a BMW interior? Honestly, its a muscle car. Muscle car means BIG motor, 2 doors.

I was hoping for a little faster 1/4 times, but weighing in at that much, its what happens.

Have you heard of the unlimited mile warranty? Anything powertrain is covered, and its not like SRT8's are going to be daily's for that many people.

It does have a manual, look around on autoblog.com and you will find it.

SRT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE LIFETIEM WARRANTY!

Secondly I was refering to all the electronic/emmisions/suspention/etc. tid-bits that aren't covered by the lifetime warranty. MOPAR parts price/availibility isn't was FORD(MOTORCRAFT) or GM's(AC-DELCO) are. And Chrysler just doesn't seem to screw and glue them together anywere near as well FORD or GM after the miles start accumulating.

You got me on the SRT's but th 6yl and RT would be covered. I would think SRT would have the lowest build numbers after the first year.

GTO boys are going to be smoking the yuppies buying this car thinking they are King Sh1t. FAIL for Chrysler on this one. Should have made it lighter, so it would be faster.

0-60 in the 5.1 sec? Pathetic! A 300 HP Mustang GT can do that.

Also, why the hell does this car need to weigh 4200 lbs?
Well the public wanted a retro car and they got it. It resembles the original straight down to the performance numbers.

Motor Trend tested the '70 'Cuda in 340, 440 Six-Pack and Hemi versions. The acceleration results had the 340 car getting to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds, the 440 car scooting there in 5.9 seconds and the Hemi making it in 5.8 seconds. The quarter-mile flew by in 14.5 seconds at 95 mph for the 340, 14.4 seconds at 100 mph for the 440 and 14 seconds flat at 102 mph for the Hemi.
FYI, the 70 - 74 Challenger and Cuda models were twins.

Any LSx vehicle should, aside from the TBSS which would probably run even on it unless it has been tuned .

I've never liked this car, the concept catered to old people and the traditional cheap Chrysler interior is a huge let down. For near $40,000 I expect more performance and class.

Muscle car or not, if I'm paying $40K for a car I don't want an interior that looks like it was put together by mattel or came out of a kia rio.

I thought initially it looked cool but I have to agree with the interior coments. If I recall the concept showed a retro/modern cool looking interior. This thing just has the generic charger/Magnum/300C interior.

And yes the numbers aren't that impresssive, but hey old people will buy it

Yup, the guy that I work with that has an SRT8 charger said that interior is almost identical to his. The concept's interior was way better.

I knew they were slow. Played with one on the expressway a few months ago and it had nothing. Sounded good though.

yeah but at least the new camaro still kept styling cues from the concept...they kind of completely abandoned them with the Challenger.
