Me and Spy may not agree on everything all the time... but there's one thing I'll give him. With what he's accomplished with his car, no one on this site has the right to call him a "wannabe", and what he's accomplished is also impressive so blah blah nothing....

Oh yeah, Black jack[ass] is a punk.

not to defend what he said but i dont think you would say that if you have seen the guy. He looks like he could bench press a damn car.

I think people on this site know me well enough that im crazy enough to not be afraid of a person's size, etc etc.

regardless why is blackjacks size being brought into this? so what if he looks like he can bench a car? no pics I don't care.

My comment was directed at the discussion, not a single post. I would like to see more companies involved and enthusiasts participate. Listening to a bunch of BS in this 12 page thread is counterproductive to the goals I thought this represented. Maybe I am wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

You don't know me either. I'm no little guy myself and I've been training in martial arts for 15 years... I'd hardly be intimidated.

Anyway, I agree with Ben. I'd rather see more people getting involved and less BS trash talking. I guess the only point I was making with my comment was that, I'm not a challenger in this competition. I never was and I've said so from the beginning so I don't need anyone calling me a wannabe trying to call me out. I really just want to see the results of the people involved in the challenge.

Didn't see anything stating his HP on that site, where'd you get 530 from? I've never heard of it though and most everyone doing anything serious with these cars is on here or 60v6.com because those are the only places you can find the info on the parts and tuning gear required to make that kind of HP. I'd be very skeptical until they show some kind of proof.

Jon, it takes more than HP to claim the prize. Pics of the car and a vid of the dyno run would help though.

i know andy. i was just shocked to hear about this car and it still amazes me that the guy claims fastest GAGT evar but is not a part of this community. given that it is a shop sponsored car i am willing to bet its motor swapped and therefor not eligible anyways. i will find out though.

I agree, but swapped with what? Even 3800s have a hard time making 600+HP.

just for ****s and giggles. here's the car and what he had to say.

The Grand Am is mine. My homepage link is for my build up page on another site. You'll have to sign up to see the pics though. Pre 99 GT's could have either the 4 or 6 cylinder, this is a 2.3L "Quad 4" car. I don't know about labeling it as the fastest Grand Am in the world (there are swapped V8 and turbo V6 ones out there), but it's probably the most powerful Quad 4 powered Grand Am right now. At 556 whp I haven't heard of another one higher. I'm not settling on that either, it'll have another 200 probably by the end of summer.

obviously he doesnt qualify, but i wanted to bring closure to what i started

That's chris's car. I've actually raced it a few years ago when it had a few less ponies (alot less like 300) and still lost . I can't believe he's gotten that much out of it. Very nice.

judging from the dyno sheet, it seems the car is in need of a bit of fine tuning.

because both the torque and horsepower curves are a bit rough.. could be worse.. but a bit of tweaking here in there in the ECU and timing could probably smooth things out a bit.

but thats just a friendly comment cuz either way, thats a lot of power, and i i always approve that !
