OMG don't remind me... I still see those from time to time and 99% of the cars that have them are missing at least one of the hub caps...

I was working in the city yesterday, and saw a car with the three fender vents AND that little Z3 vent on it.

I was once asked if I wanted to sell throttle body heat shields. I asked for proof of what they were claiming the product to do...and that was the end of that. Yes, I could make money selling bull**** parts, but I would rather have a reputation for quality products that do what they are designed to do.

What good is a port/vent hole if you don't actually have a hole? Is it designed for function?

Fender vents were popular on 50's Buicks, along with other Harley Earl designs. They weren't functional then either. There wasn't a big need for cooling drum brakes in a wheel well the size of a small country. No plastic crap or electronics in the way there. If you get right down to it, the 50's was all about big gaudy chrome that didn't do anything for performance. Considering these are plastic and lightweight, they're really not as bad as the old ones. That being said, old school Olds and Buicks are sexy. A honda Civic with stick on fender vents, not.

Apparently, he's got the things going the wrong way on the S-10. I fixed it for him and added some kool grafix...

The more I look at these, the more I think of HVAC vents. Maybe they work like some kind of fan propulsion system like on the Harrier to help the car move forward, side to side or backwards quicker. Reverse thrusters, FTMFW!!! I wonder if you can rotate them down to jump ramps and sh*t.
