I'm not doubting the diamonds in the transmission line box i have about 6 sets sitting in the room right beside me. It's the power you used to push them that doesn't quite equal 154db are you running the d3's, d6's, or d9's? Either way congrats on the numbers. BTW you do realize that if you did hit a 154 db on a term lab mic that would put you in 1st place in the world with 2 12's and 1 amp setup out of a trunk setup. I suggest you start doing some db dragging.

They are d6 subs and a t5002 actually has alot of power. It is really under rated. We just got a new db mic at the shop so i will test it again to confirm the 154db but who knows the old one could have been wrong.

Your running a great setup. I run t500-1bd 08 version. Rockfords amps are powerhouses my personal fav in the industry for sub amps.

I hit 138db with 2 10" Rockford Fosgate P1 SVC, 300.1 Rockford Fosgate Amp. I have them bridged without a cap, in a ported box.

I would really like to see some of these mics that are being used. I know for a fact that there are huge differences in quality of mic's, and some of these claims are a little over board. I am not trying to knock anyone's system, but a lot of these numbers would be different if it was done properly with a Audio Control Mic or equivlant. I think a lot of people would be surprised by the difference.

i too wonder about the mics. and the mics placement. when i had mine done, my mic was mounted to the bottom most point of the windshield with suction cups.

i'm not calling anyone a liar but i dont think its possible that i'm not as loud as a pair of 10" P1s. something just isnt right.

I agree... The mic is supposed to be mounted like 8-10 inches left and 6-10 inches up from the bottom pass. side of the windshield.

But, at the same time, even if the mic was right in front of the 2 P1's, I find it a little hard to believe that it registered 138db. Something was not right about that mic.

i'm not trying to start sh*t, its just something doesnt add up. i'd like to know what kind of mic people are using and where there placing it. if its in the trunck with it sealed, i can maybe see that. but on the windshield, thats just a little far fetched. unless the mic was reading really high that day.

Mine was at an audio shop. They had a pound down. This is when mine were in my Escape with a custom ported box I built. My friend had 2 8" JL's that pushed 137 in his 4 door Grand Am SE. I dont know what kind of mic they use, but I know what it read.

i'm not doubting that you put up the number, just doubting the accuracy of the mic. where did you place the mic? dash, windsheild, back seat, trunk, nasa?
