Ha! Dub post!

Found a few DIY mods like we have for the GA (intake silencer removal, factory "port" holes for the trunk) that I just got done. Can't remove the damn license plate holder after all but I'm getting a new M5 front soon anyways.

It's amazing what you can find reading through the manual. The car didn't come with one when I purchased it but now I know how to put the car in "Sport" mode (aggressive driving) and "Kickdown" mode (straight balls out driving).

Mods definitely are more expensive for this car though if I go that route. CAI, exhaust and a chip would easily cost me over a G- but the cool thing about BMW chips is that you can revert back to OEM in a flash and vice versa. Saves having to switch PCMs under the dash in the GA!

Upgraded DSP stereo came with "subs" in the rear deck- similar to that Monsoon BS. To increase airspace the rear deck had holes the "subs" were mounted below. On the non-option vehicles, they were left plugged- I opened them thus porting the trunk to the cabin w/o having to cut or drill anything.

Is the 2.5 responsive to mods? I know some of their engines wake up with some supporting mods. Still probably not worth it though.

Basic CAI is supposed to net around 8/11 peak. The chip should add in around the same on top of that but make the power more linear. Haven't done that much research just yet, but I didn't buy the 5 to be fast. Although there are a handful of turbo'ed and SC'ed 525's running times close to Spy's.

If I wanted speed I would have kept a lookout for a 540 or M5 with high mileage.

More than likely I'll just chip it. I like being able to hear myself in the car- a CAI and exhaust would be a little loud for a Bimmer dontcha think?

Is that the TT'ed one? Or is that 330+? I can't keep up with all the options, packages and various BMWs. It's insane.
