REAL non-camo pics of a Black '09 Camaro

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3139

I am completely honest when I say this, and am not just blowing things out of proportion because I have a GTO/TBSS/RX7/etc. etc.

....but that thing is a hideous pile of steaming sh1t!

My Lord...talk about completely destroying a concept. The lines of this car are just...really bad, and I really can't believe how anyone in their right, non-Camaro-homer mind, can look at this car and say it's to die for (like the people in that thread ). Sits way too tall, is way too narrow. Small windows look like crap with that body edge, rear end looks like a CTS and Corvette had a Downs Syndrome kid. Is this car about as long as a Cobalt???

Idiot homers will buy this car when it hits because they only care about the name of the car. If these start to hit any kind of maintenance problems this car will bite the big one fast.

I am still going to reserve my final judgment for when I see the final product in a dealer showroom, but there are several things in those pics that just don't look right. The headlights better change, and the look from the rear is pretty...um...de de de looking.

I agree with Amram about the rear end of this car.

Never really cared for the concept.....the real thing looks like it was beaten with an ugly stick.

Looks to me like they didn't put the trim on the outside to avoid catching too much attention..but that's just me.

We must be quick to point out that things like the headlights and taillights and other various components of the car are not final production pieces. But the body shape likely is, every crease, curve and bulge (unless GM's playing a horrible trick on all of us).

Black:

I think its awesome, but will have to see the final production version and sit in/drive one

Word just came in over the news wire:

Saturn design engineer is being held at ransom, told to make new Camaro look "cute". The car's rear end at 11.

But they're not even vents..they're like...ridges in the sheetmetal.

they are there to provide ventilation support to the heat stressed sheet metal that is holding up the 45 foot tall stance of the car.

this reminds me of the front end of a 747 where they have the 2nd deck above the c0ckpit.

Looks like a saturn sky rear end, typical GM wheel gap, those look very similiar to 350z wheels, way different from the concept, even a little different from the one I saw at the car show a few weeks back
