Wow... We're trying to be kind and give you advice in the future. You need to realize small things. Take this for example. You buy a brand new...um...G6, lets say you end up getting it for the nice round number of $25,000, which is exactly what the MSRP is and everything. Now you go put about 500 miles on the car and put about $2000 into modifications. There's no way you'll get $27000 for that car, nor will you get anything near $20000.

Cars lose value with travel. Just because you're car looks nice and has these add ons, does not make your car worth twice the KBB... You need to realize that.

Words of advice to you from someone wiser, older, and with a good income: just because you screwed yourself financially DOES NOT MEAN you get to charge more than what something is worth because you feel the buyer is required to pay that to help bail YOU out. And having them repo it instead is about the dumbest focking thing in the world and shows your ignorance...do you have any idea what that would do for your credit future at your age??? Why don't you sh1tcan that queer, also financially worthless, S10 minitruck crap?

To members reading this thread...THIS is why I am hard on people around here. See how dumb young people can be?!?
Harsh... BUT... Well said. I'm 21, I'm still a kid, I won't say anything to deny that claim, however, I have been working since I was 15, and know the importance of having a steady and good income. I even worked nearly fulltime (32-38 hrs a week) while I was going to college fulltime. And one thing I know for sure, it's YOUR responsibility to fix YOUR mistakes. You're 18 now... You're an adult now, fix your own problems.

If you're that stuck and think that you're perfect then AMRAAM is right, get the fock out. No need for irresponsible kids such as yourself to roam around the forums here. Good riddance.

Sell the car now before it's too late.

cars are expensive hobbys. it caught my eye that you have 2 modded vehicles that are both not absolute POSs and your only 18 like myself. i wouldnt want the stress of having 2 car payments to make plus the insurance for em both and mod money. now you have to pick one (as now you have to cuz you have no choice).

I blame MTV.

And people wonder why the economy is sucking right now- guys like this took out 30 year ARMs on houses 5 years ago and focked the rest of us.

Two small things..

First, the value of an item is defined by what people will pay for it. It has nothing to do with the seller, only the buyer.

Second, a friend of mine had a car repo'd at your age. He can't get financing on anything decent right now, even with a solid well paying job, and that was 2 years ago. A repo is about the dumbest way out of a financial crisis.

And on topic, I used to repo cars. Like others have said, YOU DO NOT WANT THIS REPO'D! It will fock you for a very long time- want to finance a house later? Good luck paying 13-20% interest. Want to lease/finance another car? Don't bother.
Seriously, I've seen what having a car repossessed does to people. Sell it for what you can, take the money, and give it right to the bank. If anything, continue making the payments on no more than 2 behind to keep you out of repo status, until you make enough to pay it off.
Seek financial counseling. There are many free financial planning services that work with people in your situation to figure out how to make ends meet. I think one of them is like... greentree or something. Look into it.
Selling something you are emotionally invested in is never easy -even when I was parting out the CAI, underglow, and other stupid crap on my old GA I felt a little sad; adding a financial hit just pours salt in the wound. Regardless, there is no point in screwing yourself even more than you already are, so just take the hit and move on- if you can get 7grand, guess what? That's 4grand more than that car will get you at auction. And I'm not exaggerating- cars that go to auction get bought for dirt cheap. And if you're modded, people assume the car was beat on and probably will explode soon so they put even less money towards them.

If you want any more insight on repossessions, let me know.

that is a 100% incorrect statement in the real financial world. I despise this statement when I see people say it on internet forums. It's nothing more than someone trying to make an excuse for the reality of the argument.

Make an offer to me on my home of $250,000. Keep making that offer...have your friends make that offer.....have everyone in the midwest make that offer.....I will never sell it. Why? Because the market value of my home, based on the value provided by a law abiding, governing body has given it $XXXXXXX in value. If value was based on what people were willing to pay the average cost of items would not continue to go up, because not everything is in low supply and high demand.....and NO ONE likes paying a lot for anything.

A good example is also gasoline prices right now. No one wants it more, there is still plenty to go around, and no one wants to pay what they are now. We are forced to pay what someone says it is worth.

My car is paid and purchased for. That is why I own it. I worked out a deal with my parents to help me fund this car. Now I work 40 hours a week to help them out of the bind that they were put in when they helped me three years ago. Starting in May, I may take on another job, at about 20 hours a week (making it 60 or so a week) so I can afford to look into another car. I need something that will work well as a daily driver now that I drive nearly 40 miles one way to work every day.

I'm not going out to buy a new G8 because I need a new car, nor am I getting a G6. You really have to take a second to look into your financial status before making any decisions that you think you may regret in the future... I know what I will be able to spend if I am to do this. And with that said, know what I'm going to have to do to afford another car.

These are all things that you will apparently learn the hard way. Good luck in the future, having a shot credit is about as good as a full time job at McDonalds. You got something, but you're going nowhere fast.
