That guy is a perfectionist.... I love that in car audio. Theres nothing that makes me more happy then having an installer work for my shop with that kind of skill. I wonder how the encloser sounds.

wow, is that $500 for a single 5inch?....now thats expensive. That being said, with the set up of the box and the way the subs were placed, he might still get some decent thump out of them. Clearly this isnt a system meant loudness...

Focal makes high end sound quality product. It's not all about beating to be the loudest on the block.

yeah i know Focal is a sound quality brand. but if he wanted SQ, why not go with 2 larger subs.... instead of a more complicated install with that bizzare box and 4 5in subs?

Four 5" midbass drivers will probably play deeper than you might think. I forget the science behind it, but I've seen multiple, smaller driver setups that played fairly deep (usually 6s or 6.5s).

And yeah, that entire install is pretty amazing!

true true, iv seen videos online of 8in RE audio subs in a ported box hittin some pretty good numbers along with deep frequencies... but still idk. when i think of a system (even a tasteful non "boom boom boom" system) i think of 10s or 12s. not 4 5s....

If I could pick up some real carbon fibre, id do some crazy ish with it too..

most people just dont have the tools or materials to do so but if they did, im sure you'd see alot more of this kinda stuff.
