Unlike what most people say, I really like the headlights they have been using as well, especially on the black car, makes them blend in and you really only see the projectors. I just hope they put a little lip spoiler on these, or make it an option.

While my prediction regarding appearance sounds miniscule, when comparing the concept to the eventual showroom model, your eyes will notice the difference.
My predictions on the actual model:
Higher roof, base width wont be as wide (see the G6 concept and the actual G6),
wheels wont be as large/wide, and lets not forget the horrible wheel gap.
What GM says and GM does are 2 different things.

IMO that's what the base edition will look exactly like. Plane jane wheels, no raim air slot, etc.

Now WTF...IMO that looks nothing like the hot, steaming garbage in the beginning of this thread! That looks like it was expected to be. Much wider, lower, longer looking. Perhaps that is the Z28/SS/LMNOP model.

Sorry... still don't like the projector headlights. The single ones look much better.

Honestly I'm not that crazy about the tail lights either. I wish they could do some type of horizontal bars like the old camaros. I'm sure there's some kind of DOT regulation though that would have made them difficult to get approved. I'm not really too worried about much of the exterior tweeks like that though. I'm sure the aftermarket will have everything needed to really make it look sharp. You know that cars going to have a ton of aftermarket support.

it depends, "records" are different for each class of car. For production car I think it is the Porsche Carrera GT.

I just saw something about the GT-R Spec-V supposedly beating the Carrera GT's time.

edit: Here it is. Apparently its nothing official though.

Yeah, I've heard of that too. Supposedly it's a bunch of hyped up BS that Nissan spread though. Word is the GTR that set that time was a pre-production model with a stripped out interior, special engine cal and turbo, racing slicks, and so on... while the porsche that holds the record was a production street car.

I am completely honest when I say this, and am not just blowing things out of proportion because I have a GTO/TBSS/RX7/etc. etc.

....but that thing is a hideous pile of steaming sh1t!

My Lord...talk about completely destroying a concept. The lines of this car are just...really bad, and I really can't believe how anyone in their right, non-Camaro-homer mind, can look at this car and say it's to die for (like the people in that thread ). Sits way too tall, is way too narrow. Small windows look like crap with that body edge, rear end looks like a CTS and Corvette had a Downs Syndrome kid. Is this car about as long as a Cobalt???

Idiot homers will buy this car when it hits because they only care about the name of the car. If these start to hit any kind of maintenance problems this car will bite the big one fast.
obviously bad camera, it can distort the pics. personally i love this new camaro idea! total mustang killer in the v8 models!

ew. not appealing. although if someone gave me one I'd drive it? but definitely not something I'd get naked for and lay on the hood, like I would my M6 =)

says who? GM can't even make a decision on engine variants because they are like a deer in headlights now since the market and finances have changed dramatially since this was given the "go".
