Uneven exhaust outlets on my GT

Guys the "dual" exhaust setup on my GT is slanted slightly to one side. Looking at the car from the rear, the left ehaust pipe hangs down more than the right side. Does anyone have this same problem? are the hangers streatched?

Yep, they all do it. I hated it - It was one of the main reasons I went to the Borla.

It's the rubber piece that holds the exhaust to the frame.

Want to know how to fix it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!

Here's all you need to do. Get 1 or 2 long zipties. have someone hold the exhaust where you want it (you will see the rubber piece not being pulled on that side). Take the ziptie and go around (with the rubber) and tighten it to that length. I think there's plenty of room for two...which will help. Now, take another ziptie and run it horizontally to keep them from coming off, tighten it pretty good, but don't kill the rubber hanger. When your friend or you lets go of the exhaust, it will hang in the right spot. This will help keep the rubber from being stretched futher...and if you got it tight enough on there they won't come off with normal bouncing of the car and shaking of the exhaust.

Sortta like this, where the Vertical and Horizontal lines are the ties

I've had it done on my one car for 8 months now, has never moved (well barely as you can see the pressure on the rubber compress it where the zipties are). If you want, get a little piece of metal or plastic to put inbetween the ties and the rubber, that'll help create a wider surface instead of two small zipties.

I do, but there's snow and everything else on the ground and it's cold, I don't feel like getting all wet for the picture. hehe If you look at the rubber hanger, you can easily see what I mean by doing it that way.

All they will do is replace the rubber hanger, which the same thing will happen down the road in the same amount of time.

You need to find a stronger rubber connector...which I couldn't find anywhere (though I didn't try super hard to find one).

My "ghetto" technique takes litterally about 5 minutes to do MAX, and is super super easy. Eight months and no problems, I even check it every once in a while just to make sure.

That should be easy enough to fix.

Look under your trunk lid, there are 2 rubber "screws" that sets the height the lid sits at when closed. One side must be longer than the other or you might be missing one...
