failboat? Nowhere near, nubbins. I did it to maintain the amazing Zaino finish, and i got no chips in my bumper or hood from the entire trip. Save to mention, I didn't have to wash my car after taking the entire trip. A great idea imo.

nah he was refering to a picture I sent him.

I'm actually considering doing something like this to the bumper and mirrors on the GTO when I have to go from Michigan to Chicago... hmmm... not sure if its worth the looks since it would just be the bumper

There's a few people around the forums that had done it for cruises and whatnot so they didn't mess up their front end. Painter's tape is cheap, i spent 80$ doing the entire car, flames, and random ass **** I let my little neighbor kids help me add to it to make it a joke.
I had fun with it :x haha.

nice, but it doesn't do anything without headers and a full exhaust, or forced induction.

You really need to read the forums more over there ya

I had one of those on my '96 Z28. That whole skip shift crap was a PITA, thanks for that one GM.

Na...painter's tape is made to be low adhesion. I see people use it all the time at autocrosses to keep the cone flesh off their bumpers.

I didn't install it to gain horsepower per se, at this point it is just for the sound. However, Corsa Sport is on its way, and LT's are probably happening next winter. I haven't decided on catted or catless mids yet. A tune will most likely also happen once the LT's are installed.

Oh, and I've read a whole lot on LS1GTO forum, shanks though.

Meh, I doubt it... unless I have a warranty claim about the engine sucking water or something... in which case it takes an hour at most to reinstall the old crap if I have to visit the dealer. I never had issues with the CAI on my GA, which went into the fenderwell, so I don't foresee any issues with this one.

What brand of LT's? catted or un-catted mids? When you say "wires" I assume you mean plug wires? Again, what type?
