2005 Magnum I Fixed

I do body work out of my garage with my buddy and a customer brought me a 2005 Dodge Magnum with some paint chips and cracking issues. Front bumpers were all stone chipped and the rear bumper had cracked paint everywhere. also the rear driver door had paint cracks and the front pass fender had some issues as well as the rear pass c-piller near the roof. so i fixed all of those spots and he also wanted me to paint a black stripe down the side with magnum cut out in it similar to the daytona chargers. well heres the pics tell me what u think. more pics comming soon. P.S. im the one that paints.

http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o...%20Magnum/

i linked to photobucket cuz there is alot of pics. thanks

Looks good! How much would you charge me to paint my stealth tt. I'm thinking about just black or maybe some diffrent colors. I'm still up in the air.

The paint job looks good. There is no way that you aren't getting trash in your paint unless you have a garage that you only paint in and a clean room before you go in the garage.

im not gonna say that there is no dirt in the paint but theres not that much at all. i got an exhaust fan, plus i sweep the garage out a few hours before i paint and wet the floor down and let it air dry. then lay plastic on the floor and pull the car over top it and theres hardley any dirt in the paint and it pretty much all comes out in the wet sanding.

p.s. i got tattoos. 1 full sleeve and half another sleeve

You can paint in a garage just fine it won't be 100% perfect but probably pretty close...and thats what wet sanding is for afterwards. What equipment are you using? I'm looking at picking up an air gun to learn.

^ buy a SATA. If you a learning you want a gun that is good enough to help fix your flaws as a painter.

I'm about to start on my left shoulder and hopefully end up with a half sleeve. I just can't figure out what I want to start with.

maybe. ur thing said u only like boys wit tattoos haha.

the equipment i use for the guy that asked is i have a 60 gallon craftsman compressor, Sharpe Razor HVLP Gun ($370) i love that gun everyone says it sprays just as good as the satas. i like the way the satas spray but i dont like the way they feel in my hand. and u gotta be comfortable when ur painting. that razor is the ****. i also have a mini/detail gun($80), and i have a decent primer gun i paid like $80 for. i plan on buying another razor for just clear. people tell you the spray guns dont matter but they do. theres a big difference between cheap guns and expensive guns. cheap guns the atomization sucks (mixture of air and paint) the spray patterns sucks, the spray pattern skips sometimes and dont spray consistant. if ur gonna buy one make sure its decent and dont go cheap if ur gonna try to learn and do it for a while. thanks for the comments this car came out pretty nice. the guy loves it so far. cant wait to see it with the rims he has for it. ill post up more pics tomarrow cuz im putting it back together tonight.
