FYI , the engine class for those cars were technially 3.9 in origination, but have been changed to 3.6 VVT engine.
The engine for the G8 Is actually V8 6.0 L for the GT and yes for the base model it is the 3.6 VVT. I was working for the Media company who did all the graphix for GM for the G8 when it was put on the drawing board in later 4th quarter of 05. I have images from the original photo shoot done at S3 Studios in Detroit, off 12 mile. The car is awesome as a whole GT and base. Love it, anywho, the G6 GXP moving it down to the 3.6, is just an example of all show no go in my Opinion. WTG Pontiacccccckkkk!.

All show no go? The 3.6L VVT engine has more HP than the 3.9L there sport. And the GXP has always been a 3.6L. The GTP had the 3.9L. The GXP model didn't come out until they put the 3.6L in it.

Car

Thanks everybody for the compliments! I'm still enjoying my catback exhaust. I was drivin over to school today and on the interstate some lady was going really slow so I went over to the left lane to pass her and the bitch swerves in my lane. I was soo pissed. I flew by her and gave her a stare down. Just another idiot on the road probably with no car insurance.
