Her occupation......Librarian.

P.S. That white truck is the old ride, they have a new charcoal gray Silverado extended cab.

P.S.S. That street and house remind me of your main house/safehouse in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

she has a husband, but I don't think he is baller status. It goes back to my point that they spend way too much on worthless cars.

But hey, it's America, do what you want.....but then again it doesn't make it logical or the best choice.

I like how it's off-center too...

It' going to look even more classy when she finalizes the design with the other logos around it in a ring.

WTF?!?!? is wrong with people and the garbage they choose as a tat!

don't worry, I saw it, but I bit my tongue so as to not make people feel bad on a total personal level as opposed to simply making fun of their posts.

But for the record, most were awful and if I were them I would take a potato peeler to the skin in that area and start "fresh"

With the 2010 Camaro just a couple months from being unveiled in production trim, GM is conducting focus groups with fanatics that it aims to please. Forum poster OctaneZ28 from 5thGen was on-site at the General's Milford Proving Grounds recently for the second such focus group and is now telling the world as much as he can about the soon-to-be-released bow-tie pony car. So far he's as giddy as a school boy. Since OctaneZ28 is a true die-hard Camaro fan, it's hard to consider his opinions objective, but he's posted some things from the focus group that we find interesting.

First off, he mentions driving both the V6 and V8 models, and he calls the 3.6L version a real sleeper. Does that mean the base engine could be direct-inject version with more horsepower? OctaneZ28 also mentions the production convertible, which is said to keep the form of the coupe and is the most researched drop-top in the history of GM. That's weighty stuff. Lastly, the six- and eight-cylinder models will be heavily differentiated, and there will be 10 colors available for the car. It may seem like forever and a day since the first Camaro concept bowed in Detroit, but now that we're in the home stretch, all that waiting looks to be paying off.

The DI 3.6L V6 from the CTS has 306 HP. If this is the verison the Camaro is going to get it would put the car about where an old Infiniti G35 coupe was in size, weight, and power. It should do 0-60 in the low 6's or high 5's. It would be pretty impressive for a V6 Camaro to run where the old LT1 powered F bodies were.

Now if it gets the non-DI V6 it would be another story...

EDIT: Latest news- Camaro V6 is getting Direct Injection http://jalopnik.com/392828/2010-chev...f-di-v6-engine

My observation of GM is that they're typically a day late and a dollar short. (in this case, they're very late).

They love to come out with what people want 2 years after they wanted it, and 2 years after it was feasible. OR, they'll come out with a cheapened down end-product with no dollar/quality value. And I have 3 examples of that:

1) Fast and the Furious/Tuner Craze.
When everyone was into buying tuners and modding, Dodge came up with the SRT-4 with factory approved Mopar upgrades and the SRT-4 was a beast. Not much out there could put that kinda HP out with that kind of dollar. GM instead came up with the Cobalt SS/SC and the Ion Redline. Neither were as fast as the SRT-4, neither had GM Performance support with decent mods, neither could really be customized to be personalized to each owner's individuality. They all just looked the same, and GM loves their prescence on the streets. This is evident with the GM badge on every GM vehicle now.

2) Muscle Cars are back?
When the Mustang was killing the Camaro/Firebird/Trans Am combined in sales, they had to come up with something. The Mustang was cheap, fast, and performed to the minimum specs a muscle car owner wanted. So what does GM do to combat that? Offer a more expensive ($32k>$26) solution? Although I'd never have a Mustang, I don't blame most people for resorting to it versus more expensive choices. Yes, the Mustang is now a rental/v6 king on the road but regardless, it made Ford profitable.

3) Aussie round 2/Camaro is back!..
They knew Holden could produce quality cars but maybe the GTO wasn't the way to go? Let's offer something more practical that could compete with BMW owners..So they asked Holden to water down the Commodore and import it again. In this situation, I would rather pay the $32k for better interior build quality and ammenities, than have a dumbed down fast 4 door. Economy, recession, priorities. People are thinking about these things.

Now that gas is $4+, muscle cars are dieing, and somehow GM still thinks they can salvage the market and sell 100,000 camaros. We all know that it's only going to happen if it's just as affordable as the Mustang, but then that can't happen with out quality going down. Not many people in a down market have the luxury to have a heavy, gas guzzling sports car as a side option or daily driver. While everyone is pulling back on the muscle gas guzzlers, GM keeps pluggin away.

John Delorean had been criticizing GM for years, calling their offers "warmed over supper" to the consumers. He also had commented how GM Execs don't know what the middle class wants when they're driving their company cars. Regardless, the middle class is what's suffering right now, and that is a higher majority than the upper class. And upper class only has maybe 3 out of 10 successful entrepreneurs who'd want to collect a 09 Camaro to rekindle their childhood spirits. The other 7 are too busy enjoying their new Audi R8 or Porsche GT3's.

To quote in the wise words of Bob: It will be an "epic fail". And that's terribly unfortunate. But once again, they're LATE!

Another beautiful example of GM aka "Better Late Than Never":

Apparently they're realizing people want Wagon's now-a-days. Judging once again by the huge hit the Dodge Magnum was (operative word "was", the model is discontinued), why not copy it with the same thing only a MORE EXPENSIVE VERSION?!

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/31/p...lac-cts-wagon/

Who do they really take us for? Seriously!

^ Like I said in that other thread, wagons are going to make a huge comeback. I'm sure the CTS wagon will offer almost the same cargo capacity as an SRX but with 5-10% better fuel economy due to the lower profile and lighter weight. GM is doing good on this one.

The wagon will also be sold in Europe where wagons have always sold well. They are going to finally compete in a segment where BMW, Mercedes, and Audi have dominated for years.

The wagon really is a crossover vehicle, and the current trend is moving towards crossover vehicles. If GM markets it right, this could be a good move for them.

You guys both make valid points. But right now, GM's concern should be generating more profitable income based on high volume cars. That's their backbone and that's always been the way they make money. When Pontiac made the Grand Am, that accounted for almost 72% of their sales. So they mass-produced the Grand Am while they had a few extra specialty vehicles that were made better or had a special price tag.

In GM's current situation, they arn't making cars people want, and they arn't equipped with things people are interested in. So in my eyes, what they're doing is trying to "bank" off of other auto-maker's successful ideas. While those auto-makers are moving on to newer and better ideas, GM is playing catch up. And they keep investing more money into genres of cars that arn't ones that will get them out of the financial situation they're in.

They need another iconic vehicle that can be versatile, affordable, and fruitful. Navigation options, remote-starter standard, little things that make them stand out. What will really make them stand out will be that remote-paging system they had been working on that lets the Customer see what's going on with their car when they're away. -- Instead, they're offering $40k Luxo-Wagons. People are very more money-conscientious with the money situation we're in Nationally. And those who aren't as concerned about their money situation, are either investing their wealth, or are buying better cars for $40k.

Once again, this is just a single person's observation, but I feel this is pretty accurate, especially in Michigan (Big 3's biggest supporter, mainly the people who buy all the new stuff they introduce).
